Generationh X and Revolution X with P3D
I'm suppose it depends on your expectations. Certainly from the small amount I've managed to get woring so far in P3D, the superior graphics capability compared with FSX makes for a much more filled scene. I gather that the scenery is derived from the OS Open Dataset ie. essentially a freebie. Given that you generally get what you pay for, the "quality" (and I'm not using that word in any derogatory sense because the OS produce very good quality mapping) of the data will be understandably low. To have been able to auomate the production of 3D scenery covering the entire UK is quite a feat.

Scenery Library Unusable
Haven't changed the default resolution. The problem is solved as I had to reinstall P3D for a different reasons. Everything is okay now.

Generationh X and Revolution X with P3D
I bought the Just Flight photoscenery first, the found that Horizon/PlaySim were going to cover the whole of the UK. It's unfortunate that, as far as I have been able to establish, PlaySim although still existent provides no support for their products. The responses to this thread have been very useful. I was completely in the dark about where the Rev-X agn files are stashed Since I started writing this (yes I sometimes get distracted while on line) I discovered a few things. I had (turns out...made the mistake of) downloaded the latest version of Revolution X. This has cause me considerable confusion because it doesn't put things where you said. In fact, and this is very sneaky, some of the Volume 1 agn files are put in ......wait for it.....Edwards AFB?!?!?! I am uninstalling the new version and reinstalling the original. This would explain why I'm not seeing the Rev-X scenery in some locations.

Generationh X and Revolution X with P3D
I'd heard people talking about an "all in one" that's the first time someone has explained it in detail. Thanks for that. Ond thing I haven't managed to nail down is where the Revolution X texture files are. Can you explain?

Generationh X and Revolution X with P3D
I have used the Generation X UK photoscenery for years with FSX and also fairly recently became a Revolution X fan. Needless to say when I migrated to p3d I wanted to continue using them. So far I've managed to get the gen x stuff working, but not Rev X. I've heard various tales about installing the Gen X scenery in p3d. Some said you can use a migration tool and install as if it's in FSX. I couldn't get that to work. Some said that you could use p3ds scenery screen to manually mount the scenery specifying the folder containing the scenery files eg. Volume1. This thread up error messages for me and didn't do anything useful with the scenery. I found that I had to mount each resolution scenery set in each area in each volume individually and that I had to rename them to be unique in the scenery library. (It has worked though) Next I want to get the Revolution X scenery installed. I contacted Just Flight and was told that Rev X cannot be installed directly in p3d. But that Rev X puts an antigen layer into the Gen X scenery and therefore if the scenery is subsequently manually put into the p3d library the rev x scenery will get into p3d piggybacked on the gen x scenery. This is what I tried to do.....so far I haven't managed to get it working. Any ideas how to do this???

Scenery Library Unusable
I recently started using P3D and I've reached thestage where I'm wanting to start migrating my FSX scenery to P3D. I have come across a very basic problem, but one that has me stumped. I installed the Fly Tampa Hong Kong airport/city add-on. Then went to the Scenery Library to add it in. Browsed to find it and selected. It appears nicely in the library. There's only one problem, the OK button to confirm and exit the library is off the bottom of the screen ao the only way back to the main window is to press esc which loses the changes. I've tried a variety of different graphics setting but none make the situation any better. Does anyone have any suggestions? The frustrations I'm having with my move to P3D are mounting. This is just another to add to the list. I'm sure I'll get to grips with it eventually, but for now I'm I'm getting nostalgic for FSX.

Button Mapper and Analogue Clock Problems
To get Button Mapper to work with FSX I start the software then when simconnect and FSX are up I click on the "run" button on Button Mapper. If during the operation of FSX I use the trim control (so far as I can tell, the first time I use it) I get a tone from windows indicating the a USB device has connected. Following this, all Button Mapper assigned buttons stop working. This is fixed by clicking on the "run" button again. On the subject of the clock operation; it would be good if the lack of automatic synchronisation was in the documentation, as I would have made provision in my instrument panel for this. Now I will have to do some form of work round.

Button Mapper and Analogue Clock Problems
I have been unable to get Button Mapper to successfully assign buttons or a rotary encoder to adjust the Radio Altimeter. All the other instrument adjustments work fine with it. In addition I have a problem with Button Mapper going offline if my Saitek Trim control goes to sleep because it hasn't been operated for a while and then wakes up when operated. I have adjusted the USB settings in WIndows to keep the ports awake at al times, but this doesn't seem to work. Also I have the Analogue Clock on my instrument panel and regardless of the FSX time, it starts at 3:30 and counts from there. How can I fix this?

Button Mapper and Analogue Clock Problems
I have used Button Mapper to configure the buttons and knobs for my Panel Builder instruments. However, I have not been able to get the decision height adjustment to work on the radio altimeter. Also, I am using a Saitek Trim control which has a habit of going to sleep. When it is used and wakes up, Button Mapper stops working and I have to pause FSX and click on its Run button to bring it back. In addition, I have the analogue clock on my panel, but it doesn't syncronise with the FSX time. It always starts at 3:30 and runs from there regardless of the time in FSX.
