  1. Thank you for help. So I did have the RTE page filled in with an origin and destination airport and imported a flight plan from Sim Brief as well as hit the execute button on the FMC, but it doesn't put the airport into the EFB performance page, and I have tried a few different airports. Regarding the copy FMC data button according to the tutorial, I watched the button is supposed to copy the altimeter setting from the plane GW and ZFW from the FMC. Also, I'm not sure if the EFB also will calculate the performance for landing, but that button is greyed out for me. I did make sure I have the latest version of the plane, but still have these issues.
  2. So I recently installed the plane and have an issue with not being able to enter an airport into the EFB. In general, I am familiar with how the EFB works as I have used in other planes such as the PMDG 747 and 777 in P3D, Basically I am able to enter some info into the performance page of the EFB manually such as the weather and weights but no matter what I do, I can't enter an airport into this page as I can click the search airport button, and it looks like it's doing something but nothing happens. Also, nothing happens when I click the copy the FMC data button even though I have a route entered and fill out all the data in the PERF page. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks
  3. Thanks. I'm pretty sure it was working for me after that, so who knows. I guess at least i'm not the only one having problems.
  4. Thanks, however I don't see a file labeled gamelauncherhelper.exe in the MSFS folder, just FlightSimulator.exe. I looked in some of the sub folders too and did not see it there either.
  5. Not sure exactly what you mean, but when I first open the installer it asks me to select a game or application and I select FlightSimulator.exe, and it show the correct path to the game in the box below. Also, I do make sure to run the installer as an administrator as well.
  6. Hello, so I used to have ReShade installed in MSFS (Steam Version) with no issues, but had uninstalled it at some point. Today I decided I wanted to install it again, but for some reason no matter what I do, nothing happens when I try and open the ReShade menu in the game. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program several times, as well as changing the button used to open the menu in the ini file, but no matter what I do it won't work. In the main folder for the game, I have the reshade-shaders folder along with 3 files.Any ideas on what I can do to get it working? Thanks
  7. Hello, I am having an issue with the aileron trim in this plane, and I'm not sure if it's a user error or a problem with the aircraft. What happens is I have the aileron trim set to the center, as verified by the gauge in the cockpit, however any time I turn the aircraft in a specific direction the airplane will want to keep turning in that direction. For example, say I am flying straight and decide to turn the plane to the left. Once I am done with the turn, I can level the wings, however they don't want to stay level and will naturally keep trying to roll the plane slightly to the left if I let go of the joystick. The only way for me to keep them level after turning is to adjust the aileron trim in the opposite direction, which then means the trim is no longer set to the middle. Am I doing something wrong, or do you have to constantly adjust the aileron trim every time you make a turn when hand flying the plane?
  8. Thanks, I actually tried the same airport with a different aircraft and the altimeter showed the correct altitude for the airport in that plane, so it definitely seems like a bug with the altimeter in the WB Sim Cessna.
  9. Hello, so I am currently trying to do a flight in the WB Sim Cessna taking off from Homer Airport in Alaska which has an elevation of 84 feet. I have live weather turned on and according to ATIS the altimeter setting is 29.95, however when I set this in the aircraft the altimeter actually shows a negative altitude of a few hundred feet and i am curious if this is normal or not. So is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
  10. That's a great suggestion, as I actually live in California.
  11. Thanks, my current GPU does not reach the minimums, but I'm building a new computer that should be capable enough.
  12. I will mainly be flying in the US or Europe. However, I do sometimes like to fly to other areas as well. I know there are add-ons like we love VFR that add things like smoke stacks and other buildings. And mods that add power lines and solar farms. Also, there is one that updates the taxiways at mos stock airports.
  13. Hello, so I am finally getting a computer of running the game properly. I can sorta run the game now, but my GPU is just under the minimum and it's not the best. Anyway now that I can really start playing the game I was wondering what Scenery add-ons you would recommend? I'm not looking for specific airports, but just general scenery to enhance cities/regions. I already use the map enhancement tool, which I think populates the in game scenery with more recent imagery. Thanks
  14. Hello, so I have always dreamed of building a home cockpit either for the 747 or the F/A-18. However, from what I have read online people say that VR is so much more immersive compared to a home cockpit, and I am wondering how that can be true. I have seen people with fully detailed cockpit with every button and I think have the physical touch of pressing buttons would be better, and I've seen screen which warp the cockpit to give the 360 look. So is Cr really more immersive even though you aren't touching physical buttons?
  15. Hello, so I have the 737mfor MSFS and am glad to finally have an EFB for the plane but unless I am missing something I don't see a page in the EFB that shows your weight and balance, and you can see your takeoff and landing weights on a graph to show you are within limits. Am I missing something or is this something that is planned to be implemented? I know the 747 for P3D has it, and I'm pretty sure the 737 had it, but don't see it in MSFS. Thanks
  16. Hello, so I have been learning to fly the Vision Jet from FlightFX and gotta sat it's a fun plane to fly. One thing I am unsure about is the climb performance. So most of my flights have just been practicing my takeoff and landing, but finally decided to do some flights. So the other day I tried to do a flight from Santa Ana, CA to Boise, Idaho. I was at full fuel, but there was only the pilot on board. I programmed the G3000 with my weights and everything and took off. I think I climb out initially around 150Kts and then accelerated to 220. After passing 1500ft I switched to hold a mach speed of .45. The thing for me was the plane was only able to climb at 400 FPM and I had the plane in FLT LVL change to reach 24,000 FT. So is this a normal climb rate for these weights? I don't expect to perform like a bigger jet, but this seems a little slow to me. But then again I know nothing of the real plane. Thanks
  17. Hello, so I like to do interesting flights sometimes to simulate flying test aircraft or research planes. I would love to have a fictional repaint for the MSFS PMDG 737 BBJ based on the 800. The company would be called Astro Search and just want a simple livery that would look real enough for something like that. Even a mostly white plain with the name and a simple logo would work. I know this might be a long shot, but hopefully someone would be able to make this. I know how to make basic repaints for PMDG planes for P3D. But it seems like its a little more complicated in MSFS and I wouldn't be able to make it look as good anyway.
  18. This is good advice, thanks. I am wondering if I can keep the case for now. I have a Lenovo prebuilt and from what I find online it uses the ATX form factor. I already have a 2GB SSD plus an 2GB HHD So all I would need is an new CPU, GPU, MB, and PSU then I can upgrade the RAM and case later. What about just upgrading the GPU, PSU and RAM for now, then upgrading the CPU and MB in a few months? Even on my current system, I get decent frame rates in most areas with settings on low/medium so I'm sure even just bringing the GPU up to above minimum specs along with increasing the RAM would be a decent improvement which i can live with until I upgrade the rest.
  19. Well, my budget kind of depends. I would say around $700 total, but that would take me time to save up for. My birthday is coming up next month and between getting some cash I could add what I have and at least upgrade the GPU and RAM for now and maybe a PSU. Then maybe get a new MB and CPU a little bit later. I think would need new case as well, since my current one is part of a Lenovo desktop I bought off Amazon.
  20. So currently my CPU meets the very minimum for MSFS. I have the i5-4460 at 3.2ghz but my GPU is under the minimum as I have GTX 750ti. I was thinking about upgrading my GPU as well as my RAM. I have 12GB which I plan to upgrade to 16GB. I am curious if anyone else uses this CPU and what your performance is like and what GPU you have. I’m not expecting to run MSFS on high I’m just hoping I can run it on medium/low and get 30-40FPS. I can actually still run the game now and while it looks better than P3D I can tell I’m not getting the full experience, since my card is under the minimum and I would be happy just to be able to get the base graphics to look correct. I was thinking of getting a 970 or 1060 but not sure what is best with this setup? So do you have any suggestions? Thanks
  21. So I mainly use Sim Brief to plan my flights and use AS for my weather. One thing I always have trouble with is knowing what altitude is best to fly at based on winds and turbulence. I mainly just use the recommended altitude from the FMC which might mean I encounter some bumps. I mainly use live weather, but will sometimes use custom or historical weather. So is there an easy way to see what the winds and turbulence are like at specific altitudes. I'm trying to learn how to read weather maps, but I'm still so confused. I mostly know what symbols mean, but I don't know how to relate that to what my route should be and what weather I need to avoid. Thanks
  22. Thanks, unfortunately my laptop is a MAC so that probably wouldn't work, but I can look into it. As to the second [art that's great info, for now I mostly have things on low/ medium low and have been using a guide for what settings impact performance the most that way I know what I might be able to get away with turning up.
  23. Thanks for the advice. Do you know in what ways upgrading the GPU will help? Also, I take it that it probably wouldn't help with being able to use Plan G as a moving map on my second monitor, as that would be more CPU or memory issue, correct? Thanks
  24. So my current Specs are Win 7 CPU: Core i5 4460 at 3.2 GPU: NVIDIA GTX 750 TI Memory: 12GB DDR3 Storage: 2 TB SSD Surprisingly, I can run MSFS 2020 even though I get a warning when I start it, that says I don't meet the minimum requirements, but If I try to run another program like Plan G as a moving map on my second monitor that is usually where I run into issues. As you can see in the pic below, it looks like I'm mainly limited by the GPU and this got me curious if you think it would be worth it to upgrade the GPU and if that would have any effect on the performance. I'm fine with the current settings, but would mainly just like to be able to use Plan G as a moving map on my second monitor without too much trouble. So do you think it would be worth it to upgrade just the GPU or should I not eve bother? https://imgur.com/a/XQTxKkj Thanks
  25. Thanks I think I will checkout the mod the person above posted but if that doesn't work then I will definitely leave a comment for that mod.
