Introducing - Airport2Sim Amsterdam
ph-cxz replied to Airline2Sim's topic in Airline2Sim Support Forum
All jetways at Amsterdam don’t have GPU units below them. To the right of the airplane nose is a fixed based GPU. The odd stand positions at the delta pier will push back onto A10 as that is quite common for the stand positions D3 to D43 and some Echo stands as well. as A13 is used as an exit. -
What do you mean with the scope clause because I see them all the time in Europe on less busier routes.

A pen can appear at random

it will certainly work and it had an update to it recently, and the latest version is v3.00.0195
-
Reinstall has no use. Go into the pmdg folder in the sim and then the b777. Locate the files from there.

At Amsterdam you are depending on your stand pushed back with a 15 degree offset from the taxi line. Those positions are visible on the satellite image indicated by a White marker.

Well you could of course not update but if a future update is out which fixes some bugs then you have a problem. So I would make the investment to buy a new pc. -
ICAO aircraft type code for the B747-8F Cargo variant?
ph-cxz replied to ViperXBR's topic in PMDG General Forum
For both pax and freighter variant the code is b748. The same also applies to the b777-200lr and b777-200f which is b77L -
The pmdg b777 doesn’t have a custom ground friction model like the b747 has.

They are different. Look ad the fuel system display.

Been able to set every position. Except flaps 40 but that is rarely used. There are 3d printed parts that can be used to set the flap in the correct positions.

Maximum speed to deploy speed brakes?
ph-cxz replied to Patco Lch's topic in PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II
While pretty old and probably solved with later aircraft of the b737 series. It does how that there is a risk when using speed brakes at higher speeds. AD 2001-12-51 http://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgAD.nsf/AOCADSearch/0FF43E2A8F0C938F86256CC900702D1C?OpenDocument -
I actually assigned the flaps to an axis in p3d while I was using the yoke and dual throttle. You don’t have any indicator when you are in the right position but it does work.

Maximum speed to deploy speed brakes?
ph-cxz replied to Patco Lch's topic in PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II
There isn’t one but I did find an article on the b738 that mentions the limit that was introduced when a flight crew noticed horizontal stabilizer vibration when they deployed the speed brakes at 325 knots. So the FAA limited the max speed to 300knots.
