  1. Thanks, Craig. I'm grateful for all the advice and, deep down, I'm more or less reconciled to having to do a re-install. I'll use the guide you have recommended. gpry.
  2. During installation of new add-on scenery in the Add-on Scenery folder, somehow the Texture folder has now disappeared. When I try to open MSFX, I get the message "Scenery read error. Attempting to open a non existent directory: C/program files(86)//M Games/MSFX/texture. Click OK to continue." I click OK and MSFX opens at the Free Flight page. I make my selection and click Fly Now. But MSFX closes down and my Desktop appears. I've checked the Recycle Bin in case I've wrongly deleted but nothing there. What do I do now? Any suggestions, please. gpry.
  3. Thank you for your prompt reply, Jim. Problem! I have done as you suggest - in my case C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/ FSX /Scenery. Opening this file reveals all sorts of folders (scenery, texture) but no mention at all of a cfg.folder! Have I gone to the right location? gpry
  4. I've just installed FSX into my new computer running Windows 7. I've been installing new scenery. Now, when I start up FSX, I get the message "SCENERY.CFG file error. Invalid Remote Scenery path in Scenery Area.115. Click OK to continue." Where do I find Scenery Area 115 and what should I do when I get there? gpry
