  1. Well, sundly There were many here at Avsim who suddenly got in a hurry to move to Kiribati today. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/580060-msfs-released-in-first-region-congrats-kiribati/
  2. Well you have the luxury that you can choose and discard what you like of the simulator whether it is XP, P3D, FSX, FS9 and now MSF. Even so, I care very little if it gets a little blurry on either the FL200 or FL400. Agree as mentioned here, just that it looks fine during take-off and during landing with nice flow, so I am happy and of course that the sim does not crash (OOM) during flight which was commonplace in FSX where you had to constantly adjust in the fsx.cfg file.
  3. Agree here 👍. Read and learn about tips from others on the various forums like this forum here for examples and other flightsim forums. It can also be useful to learn a lot by watching good training videos that go step by step on Youtube. One must absolutely be patient and realize that one does not learn everything in one day and accept that there will be lots of mistakes and trials that are a natural part of the whole learning curve.
  4. Must say that was looking really good to be on "medium" settings with a 1080 graphic card 👌👍
  5. I really dare not to think about the day when MSFS shows live images from satellite in the sim in 3D 😂😜🤪
  6. If Professional Flight Planner X become available for the new sim, you have full access to real-time NOTAMS. It's a great tool to use and I really hope Aerosoft will do something about it when it comes to the new sim. If e.g. NOTAMS has a note in it which says that e.g. ILS does not work on runway 19R, then it is only for you to don't make an ILS even if ILS works in the sim itself.
  7. Without exception to the rule. Truth to be told 😉
  8. That graphics card and processor have not been released yet!! 😂
  9. Relax, in only 9 days, we'll all be watching You Tube about how amazing MSF really is and how many bugs it contains 😂
  10. Don't look back, look forward 😉
  11. ...But as a buyer, you have all your right to buy exactly what you want. Just a pity that suppliers and manufacturers know exactly this when hunger takes over.
  12. It comes down to what you look for in one product that others do not have. Most of the customers want a plane that they can fly and spend their time with, rather than sitting for hours after hours reading how it works, because then we are on a completely different type of hobby that narrows the market significantly. Yes, it is fun for both you and me to sit down in various procedures etc when things go wrong etc, but 95% of users who use MSF have a goal, it is to get from A-B without a lot of headaches. And I'm very sure that starting to pay up to $ 130 for a plane that actually has a lot of bugs in it, then the interest drops a lot and you can start calling the supplier greedy due to a word not allowed license they have secured.
  13. Yes Yes, you can well defend the price of these products which are actually self-developed just as MSF is built for the Windows platform. That you have to pay double to use e.g. an additional product on top of a fully developed software developed for Windows such as. Adobe, is something each person must decide for themselves. One must not have e.g. PMDG in the hangar, one must not have different airports for the whole world. But the point is that the large customer mass actually determines the price in the end. If you or I e.g. could have made an identical 737 like PMDG and sold it at 70% of the price that PMDG demands, then I am very sure that 99% of the market had gone for my or your solution on the product. As the whole thread permeates and other forums as well, customers are starting to get quite tired of paying a lot of extra to keep their interest up. And thank goodness there are actually other less advanced vendors out there such as. Ifly and maybe Wilco etc etc etc etc which I hope can really take up the competition against those who feel like kings, queens and presidents on one and the same platform.
  14. PMDG definitely needs more competition. Right now in this thread, I get a solid impression that PMDG feels like king and President over the market when it comes to Boeing aircraft in particular. Does it matter that they received a full license from the Boeing factory to make approximate simulations themselves? My impression at least is that they got a great demand when they launched NGX and right after that 777 launched that they wondered if the price was undersized in relation to the price. Now I bought both NGX and 777 for FSX when they were launched, but I jumped in the air when I realized what they greedily demand of the versions of P3D. But this is something we consumers ultimately decide by refusing to pay overpriced for. Sorry for my poor English skills from Norway who sound like Henning Solberg in the Rally environment
  15. "Now I see the Elephants make a new baby from 9000 feet of ground" For a beautiful view 😄
  16. Wilco please came back with 737-300 in MSF-2020. 😁 I actually liked that plane regardless of other people's opinions about it. Pretty well priced it was too, if my memory agrees here.
  17. Fun to see old sim and how far this has actually been allowed to develop over the years. But not so fun to realize that the years have passed very quickly since I first became acquainted with Flightsim for the very first time in '84.
  18. Correct me if I'm far out in the field. But the previous sim is built on a 32-bit system, and that is precisely one of the many reasons why we experienced OOM (Out of Memory) crash, etc. Because the sim did not handle many accessories for third-party add-ons that had to be added limited to the 32-bit system (limited to 4 GB of RAM) than the current 64-bit system (which uses all access to RAM). This sim is built on a 64-bit system and will use all available memory (RAM), CPU processing power and GPU processing power, something third-party developers also get the opportunity to use now without the simulator being unstable. So my conclusion is that this will be a more stable simulator / game, than all other releases from MS because they have coded the new sim in a new new place than before and at the same time use some of the old programming codes they will now definitely work perfectly on the new platform.
  19. Something about the YT tells me that National Geographic Channel have been inside the new MSFS and making a new episode of wild animals 😜
  20. I quote from this site https://fselite.net/news/microsoft-flight-simulator-information-vr-steam-edition-third-party-info-and-future-plans/ Described as major updates and may include helicopters. The team wants to make quite a few of them in the future, and it requires extensive work to get the physics and handling right. Although this is not confirmed to be the first paid DLC, it was an example that was shared about the type of quantity and quality that can be expected. More concrete details will come out in the future. The following release schedule was shared about the future after release: VR update World Update I Sim Update I Paid DLC I World Update II Sim Update II Paid DLC II World Update III To me it seems that the sim gets better and better when they write something like "World Update" and "Sim Update" etc. Etc. Just remember what Stockholm looks like right out of the box in FSX and P3D for example? That the whole world does not look perfect, or that the sim / game is not perfectly straight out of the box is something we accept than to set too high expectations that the sim / game should be 100% perfect straight out of the box. We are actually talking about covering the entire globe down to 30cm pixels. So yes, even though Norway, Denmark or Sweden may not be completely perfect, there will be the above updates and updates that follow after this as well. EDIT: How many service pack did FSX come out after first release? How many hotfix have P3D come out after release btw? X-plane I don't know about.
