FPS rises at night?
I used this as a last resort to squeeze out a few frames in my FSX and I actually did it. Now my problem is that I get better performance flying at night which is kind of weird since I thought the performance would be worse with all the lights it needs to draw. (the framerate is at least 3-4 FPS higher than during the day) However I would like to fly during the day to but it's much less enjoyable with the low frame rates. Is this a known issue? Am I doing something wrong there? Any help would be appreciated

Range check error
Ok so I tried it again today, first time I had the same problem but then I restarted my PC and noticed that my USB hub was plugged in different port than it was plugged in usually. So I plugged it back into the "ordinary" port and tried again and it worked this time. I also noticed that the beeping is gone when changing the modes. Could it simply be the problem that it was plugged in different port?

Range check error
Ok so LINDA was working fine for me and now after wanting to return to the cockpit after a week or so something seems to be wrong. When I load the game up and open up LINDA and click on FSX sync it quickly changes to aircraft I'm currently using (Majestic Dash 8) but then immediately reverts back to "--Aircrafts--". If I try to select it manually (either the Dash 8 profile or Default Aircraft) I get the message Range Check Error. Also when I start LINDA it is in unshifted mode and every time I change the mode I hear annoying beep. And no matter what you do once you change it to shift 1 there is no going back to any other mode unless you restart it and then turn back on again. Any ideas what's up?

Rotary switches on HOTAS X55?
I use preset module for LINDA and in LINDA there is ton of options for the button assignment (like increasing and decreasing pitch wheel) but most of these can't be found inside FSUIPC. Is there a way to somehow "import" these functions into FSUIPC?

Rotary switches on HOTAS X55?
Anyone had any similar issues? LINDA doesn't recognize the rotary switches on my throttle. Out of 5 rotary switches it recognizes only 1 of them (the silver one on the left side of the throttle). The Windows game controller calibration recognizes them as axis (and FSUIPC too). So would I be able to assign a control in LINDA to one of these rotary switches?

Assigning keyboard shortcuts? (FSUIPC)
I assign the keyboard shortcuts for certain switches and then asign the certain key combination to a joystick button, which allows me to control most of the switches with my joystick or throttle buttons. However I'm having a problem with the Dash 8. I managed to create some mouse macros for certain switches but does only work "in one way". For example: I can turn on the fuel pumps with mouse macro I created but I can't turn them off by pressing the same key (pressing the same key does nothing). Has anybody had any luck with assigning the buttons and switches? Surely it can be done somehow.

FSUIPC and engine start switches
Managed to solve it by just reprogamming it and works great now. THanks for the help..Another question I have if anyone had similar experience is if there is a way to program scroll buttons like the ones on Autopilot panel? My saitek X55 throttle does have a scroll wheel but I don't know whether it's possible to program it to autopilot to change altitude or speed. Any help would be appreciated?

FSUIPC and engine start switches
I treid programming switches to my controls and I wanted to set engine start switches separately for engine 1 and engine 2. However when I create a mouse macro for one side it automatically moves the other one too. (Mouse macro for left switch moves the right switch too). Any idea how to solve this one? EDIT: Figured out the control for the right switch is working fine but control for the left switch still affects both switches.

Autopilot not arming at all (IRS?)
I did fix it or at least thought I fixed it. I turned both IRS switches to off and then aligned them again. Should I do anything else? Nick Johnson

Autopilot not arming at all (IRS?)
So I just had this very strange thing happen to me. I was doing a short flight and everything went ok on the ground before take off. After TO I wanted to arm AP and for some reason it won't let me. After a while I noticed that the displays on F/O's side didn't work (it looked like the IRS was not aligned) but displays on my side all worked fine. Now I'm not sure if the displays weren't working on the ground but I had to realign IRS twice before taking off because I accidentally flicked left IRS to off instead of setting it to align. Any ideas what went wrong? Is this IRS fault? Nick Johnson

VOR/LOC won't arm
Just one more question. I was looking for AFCAD file for EGGP but I can't find it anywhere. I've only found a few for FS 2004. I searched around on avsim but no luck either. Where do you get your AFCAD? Nick Johnson

VOR/LOC won't arm
I believe the FMA said CRS/B in one box and G/P in the other one. But if I hadn't updated AFCAD, wouldn't that mean that FSX didn't have information about ILS at the airport (when I opened map and clicked on the airport it showed the frequency and heading for the ILS landing)? Or did I miss the point? About the name, I tried adding it to signature but for some reason it won't let me update my signature for another week or so. I'll just add it at the end. Sorry about that. VOR/LOC won't arm
I haven't bothered with updating anything so that might be the case but how come FSX displays the information about ILS anyway? Is there a software that would make sure all AFCADs are up to date or so you have to do it manually? Also what kind of approach was in use then when I activated APP on MCP panel and why did the plane descend only on the first try?

VOR/LOC won't arm
I was just doing approach to EGGP, trying to do an ILS landing but when I was about to intercept glideslope it wouldn't let me arm VOR/LOC. I could however arm APP and it brought me down to the runway anyway. My question is why couldn't I arm VOR/LOC? First thought I had was that the airport maybe doesn't have it but when checking the FMC and aiport info in FSX both rwys appeared to have ILS. I tried same approach again later and that time I the plane didn't descend. What I noticed however was that when I enabled APP a white sign B/CRS appeared under HDG SEL on PFD and then turned green (the same way G/S or LOC does after established). And also when activating APP the course settings automatically change to 89, no matter what I had set earlier. I don't have any add-on scenery for the airport or the UK (only have Active Sky Next)
