I used this as a last resort to squeeze out a few frames in my FSX and I actually did it. Now my problem is that I get better performance flying at night which is kind of weird since I thought the performance would be worse with all the lights it needs to draw. (the framerate is at least 3-4 FPS higher than during the day)

 

However I would like to fly during the day to but it's much less enjoyable with the low frame rates. Is this a known issue? Am I doing something wrong there? Any help would be appreciated
