  1. neumanix Thanks for taking the time to reply. I will give that a go later. Will let you know how it goes.
  2. Peter, thanks for the reply. Having seen posts of some folk using 3 monitors with the triplehead2go, I thought that maybe I would see the primary display over 2 monitors and compensating the resolution accordingly. The more I think about it now you cannot upscale x2 on to 2 screens without distortion so the black box goes back on the shelf. Richf
  3. Hi Got a new (old) pc, quad core 4 gb ram, and 1gb nvidia graphics card, blew the dust off my fs2004 and scenery/mesh and loaded everything up. Happy that everything seems to be working as planned. Sometime back I got a matrox dual head2go so I thought I would add this to the setup. I am not really sure what I expected to see, but what I saw was the original screen stretched across 2 screens, the guages on the cessna were egg shaped and looked awful. I am no really sure what I expected to see, but it wasn't this. Have I missed the point on what you are able to see. Any comments or info appreciated. Richf.
  4. I had the same problem yesterday, and followed advice on earlier thread about this and removed the windows update - worked perfectly afterwards.
  5. Thanks for the comment re SSD. I have just got an intel quad core 3.0Ghz with SSD and HHD. It has a 1gb geforce 430 but only has 4gb of ram at the moment Get christmas out of the way and I will upgrade it to 8gb. Hopefully this will get me going again.
  6. I have been browsing and looking at the matrox triplehead2go and then came across the Star Tech triple head at a fraction of the cost in uk. From what I can see the resolution on the matrox 3 screens is better, but has anybody used the star tech or can give me feedback on it. I would like to run 3 dell 19" screens with FS9. Rich
  7. Thanks for the comments guys. I am not familiar with the NVIDIA Inspector. When I get the PC if I can't fathom it out perhaps I can come back to you. Rich
  8. Thank you for the reply. Ive now got something to go for.
  9. I have just joined the forum after quite a few years away from flight sims. I was last active with FS2002 (when it was new). I did buy 2004 but reckon that the spec of my box was not sufficient to run it well. My interest took me learning to fly a microlight and a cessna 152. However, have a lot more time on my hands now and seriously considering getting my 2004 up and running. So, I am looking to get a dedicated pc for this. I will be wanting to use various add ons like scenery and mesh etc.Bearing this in mind, can anyone suggest some specs for a pc.I have read quite a bit on it and don't really understand the processors on offer ie do I need a quad core or is the software unable to take advantage of it. So basically any info on processors, RAM and graphics would be greatly appreciated. I dont want to go completely overkill, just something that runs it well. Rich
