  1. Thanks Simon. I've gone in and set 4x SGSS - will wait to see performance hit in the clouds but at least it looks a lot better. I'm still puzzled I suppose. Such is life! Thomas, sounds great but unfortunately for me I'm a sucker for HDR in P3D! Appreciate the input fellas.
  2. Thanks gents. I guess I'm frustrated because before (a few days ago) I didn't even need SGSS, so somewhere lies a solution without needing it and the unfortunate FPS hit it comes with.
  3. G'day all, A few days ago I tried tweaking some AA settings which didn't improve anything. I had screenshots of my old settings so reverted back, however my AA is still pretty ordinary. Turning FXAA on in P3D (I never had it on previously) helped, but it still isn't as good as what I had. I wasn't using Nvidia Inspector so didn't have SGSS on. As far as I know, my only settings were done through Nvidia Control Panel and P3D itself. Here are my settings. I would be very grateful if anyone has any ideas on how to restore a good level of AA, that'd be brilliant. Cheers.
  4. Hi Matthias, Had the same issue as you and was tearing my hair out. I see you use EZDOK, are you running V2? If so, suggest you read the below - a kind member advised some of the effects EZDOK V2 impart on the sim/aeroplane cause this issue: Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on. I know how frustrating this issue can be. Joe.
  5. Sorry Keven, just wanted to see if you had any more ideas on this? This is a frustrating one!

  7. Hi Keven, I have tried all of the above except for the key assignments in sim - I just went through and removed them all. Unfortunately the issue persists. Cheers.
  8. G'day all, I've just moved over to Chase Plane from EzDok V1 and V2, getting my head around it slowly. An issue I had in EzDok is still present with Chase Plane, where I press the key to go into the cockpit and I either get a wide-angle view with no VC, or a wide-angle view with the 2D panel. I then have to spam the key until finally the correct preset is loaded. Tried all of the suggestions here however the issue persists. I even tried uninstalling Chase Plane, deleting my cameras.cfg file and letting P3D build another, and reinstalling Chase Plane. No help. From what I can see this may be an ongoing issue however would appreciate if any light could be shed on this, as it is an incredibly frustrating problem to have. Cheers, Joe.
  9. Paul I owe you a beer mate. I must admit I was sceptical when reading your post, but was amazed that this was is the issue. I will need to do more testing but at this stage I'm confident this is the culprit. I did the normal test flight in the NGX from the default airport, before leaving I disabled the Effect Processors. None of the normal issues experienced during climb. I waited a few minutes after the aircraft had settled in the cruise, it was steady as a rock. Opened EzDok and played around with the settings, and sure enough turning these effects back on instantly made the aircraft bank off course and gain height. Turning it back off, it happily settled again back on course and level. The specific setting causing the issue is Main Channel Fuselage effects. I cannot now recall what my value was but I have turned it off (no value). Thank you Paul for pointing this out, this was causing me much angst as I was effectively grounded until this was resolved. Kyle, I am very thankful of your time in working through this - I appreciate your patience. Image below showing the specific setting in EzDok V2 causing my issue (heartache). print screen windows
  10. Hi Wilhelm, I did yes, if you take a look at those screenshots there is nil wind. Cheers.
  11. Just adding two shots of the B738 and B77L showing winds. It remained nil wind for both of my quick test flights, out of the default airport. In both cases the AP is on HDG SEL and both are struggling big time. This was with my yoke calibrated via P3D. You can view images in higher res by clicking the image again after clicking the thumbnail. Noticed Photo Bucket was resizing my images too small so trying this out.
  12. Thanks Kyle. Hope you had a good weekend mate. After my last post I did delete the fsuipc.ini file and unfortunately that didn't help. I also tried physically disconnecting the yoke after engaging AP. Yesterday I uninstalled my PMDG fleet in hope a fresh installation of the aircraft would help. Confirming I did physically replace the CMOS battery from my motherboard. I actually did it twice, the second thinking perhaps I needed to leave a battery out for longer - I took it out and left the computer alone for 10 hours with no battery and only replaced it when I got back from work. Cheers.
  13. G'day Kyle and team at PMDG, Just wanted to check if there were any updates on this? Unfortunately this is not yet resolved.
  14. Echoing Chock's comments on the Conquest, I worked with this aeroplane for five years and excitedly bought it upon release. Visuals were superb, system modelling was poor. What really killed it for me were the sounds. They didn't sound anything remotely like the Garretts on the real aeroplane, and it really killed the immersion for me. I explained this to Alabeo, who understood and kindly agreed to a refund. I then spent the money on the Fly Sim Ware model and though the visuals are not the same standard, it is made by a company with experience on the Conquest and it really shows.
  15. Went in and checked, the only options on the Weather page under World in P3D settings are the preset/theme in use - I can post an image if you like, but the Weather Theme in use is Clear Skies until the problem gets sorted. Also had another read of the intro manual and confirm I have the recommended settings etc. The only thing that jumped out was that I have my yoke, pedals and throttle calibrated through FSUIPC - this was setup after my very initial post and the problem existed in the 737 & 777 weeks before I created this thread with my X52 calibrated through P3D. I also have the options for CTL WITH AP ON = DISABLE, and REALISTIC AP ENGAGEMENT = OFF. The latter of which I changed recently as part of my own troubleshooting. I've just removed my FSUIPC.ini file though as suggested in the manual to no avail.
  16. G'day Kyle, Bugger completely forgot about those other weather settings, I'll post those up when I get home. My frame rates have been great lately, during that last test run it would have been early 40s in the VC. The computer has no other issues I'm aware of, no wireless card so can't test that unfortunately. I'm not a huge gamer but everything I have has been behaving itself. I have gone through the into manual but will do it again as a sanity check.
  17. No worries, understand. Thanks for your help so far, it is appreciated. Well replacing the battery was easier than anticipated, though unfortunately it didn't solve the issue. Neither did updating the BIOS. The good news is, my BIOS version is now the current one! I've included a few screenshots of my P3D and FSUIPC settings. Won't post my AS16 settings as the program wasn't running while doing my test flights, all done on Clear Skies preset. The screenshot from the sim was taken only a few minutes ago. Some of the deviations are much less dramatic, maybe up to 5° of bank. If there's any other settings etc. that you need pics of, just let me know.
  18. Interesting. Thanks for the info Kyle. I wouldn't know how to go about replacing the battery but I'll do some homework. Will report back. Theoretically, if the two steps you suggested didn't solve the problem - what would be the next step? I only ask out of curiosity as I find it an interesting (but frustrating) problem to have.
  19. Yes indeed. That's certainly a question I wasn't expecting!
  20. Kyle, Did you take a quick look at the screenshots? I have had bank angle warnings and aircraft deviating off track by 45 degrees lately, my pax are livid! My email is a Yahoo address. All other email and spam is coming through fine. Cheers, Joe.
  21. Hi Kyle, I wanted to bump this back up - I tried what you suggested and am still having erratic behaviour in all of my PMDG aircraft. To reiterate what I said in my original post, I am having issues with AS16 not even running, and with the P3D 'clear skies' preset. Unfortunately am unable to submit a ticket as I do not receive the reset password email (checked junk/spam folder, nothing from you guys there) after a few attempts. Hoping you're able to assist. Cheers, Joe.
  22. There are traffic management procedures and facilities in place outside of Europe and the States.
  23. This is excellent news. Thanks Kyle. Good to see developers collaborating.
  24. G'day all, First off, apologise if I am posting in the wrong place. The issue relates to both the 777 and 747 so was unsure of where to post. I have been having some autopilot issues in the 777 and was actually going to post on here yesterday, but ended up not. After getting the 747 and experiencing the same issues in the new (old?) machine, it is definitely time to try and get this sorted out. So the issue I am having is the aircraft unable to maintain heading and altitude. A few examples: 777-300ER on the SID leaving YMML, later on in the cruise on the same flight, same aircraft crossing the northern Atlantic, and most recently today doing the KDEN-KSFO tutorial flight in the 747. Essentially the aircraft deviates from track before correcting itself, and/or deviates from altitude by up to 50 feet. I use AS16 and have SP1 installed, and my initial thought was this was the culprit. After turning off AS16 mid-flight during these occurences the effects were drastically minimised, but the aircraft was still misbehaving. Today, doing the tutorial flight I did not open AS16 and ran with the P3D Clear Skies preset as recommended in the tutorial. I've attached bunch of screenshots. The most dramatic ones are with AS16 running (the first few 777 shots), the rest are using default P3D weather. I experience this in the 777 and 747 only, have never had this in the NGX, and for what it's worth, never in the Aerosoft A320 or Q400. Cheers, Joe.
