  1. Just saw http://training.pilotedge.net/page/ratings the other day and did some practicing for the V1 certification last night. I think this could be quite a lengthy (fun) learning process I could work on, if I decide to go through all of them. Have any of you guys done any / all of them?
  2. Been FSX-SE for a long time, but recently built a new simming rig (core i5 @ 5Ghz & GTX 1070) and decided that in the spirit of new things I'd give P3D a whirl. Well, I've really been loving it and have barely been back to FSX-SE since. Always was on stock scenery until today though, when I finally pulled the trigger on the ORBX global base package. Wow, what a difference! Took a little test flight from Juneau down to Ketchikan, and let me tell you, the view of the morning sunrise from the flight deck of N3206 was just gorgeous
  3. Thanks guys! It's an Asetek radiator with an Arctic Cooling fan. Temps rarely leave the high 60s. Very pleased with it.
  4. Hello all! I've been a long time lurker on avsim and decided it was finally time for me to check in with the community. I've been simming for a few years now. Always enjoy it. Started out with just default FSX aircraft... then discovered the great world of payware add-on aircraft. That has been quite unhealthy for my wallet For the past while, I had been swimming using my laptop -- a MacBook Pro 2015 with the dual core i5 and iris graphics. I thought it was doing OK, till i finally pulled the trigger on building a custom rig with a quad core i5 at 5 Ghz and a GTX 1070. The difference was incredible... night and day doesn't do it justice. Now I know what 35fps looks like Looking forward to now getting to participate in all the discussions instead of just being a bystander!
