  1. Hello, I just purchased FS2Crew for the 777 and have completed two flights with it. In each case, after we push back and get the engines started, the FO turns them both off along with the APU while I'm checking flight controls. I get the ENG AUTOSTART warnings on the EICAS and then lose all power. I then have to restart the APU and engines manually, wait for the electronics to start back up, reset the MCP, etc. My sequence of events when this happens is to manage the pushback, then have the FO start the engines, FO sets flaps and changes to the FCTL page, and while I'm checking controls she shuts everything down. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks!
  2. Okay, understood. I did run into this problem again but this time I also didn't get vectored to my final approach at the approprate time (or at least what I would consider appropriate). Flying from KDAB to KMIA via J79. I was told to expect the ILS to 27 via HENDN. Using the request descent workaround I did eventually get cleared down to 7,000 but made it all the way to DHP before I was cleared for the approach -- no vectors or anything. Remind me where the log files are stored? I can post some of those in the future if I run into this again.
  3. Okay, I need someone to point me in the right direction. When P2A clears me to use a STAR, I can descend to the published altitudes only if it's "Descend via the SID," correct? But if I am "cleared for the RNAV approach" then I can descend on my own to complete the approach as long as I obey any restrictions in the approach, correct? I was cleared for an RNAV approach and never given descent instructions which is why I'm asking. Thanks!
  4. Hi Dave, Just a thought that a nice feature might be to have the ability to add multiple waypoints at once, rather than clicking the +WPT button multiple times. So entering "MLF DTA FFU" in the box would then have P2A parse them as three different waypoints, saving me the trouble of clicking. Not exactly a game-breaking bug or anything, just thought I'd mention it for consideration in a future update. Thanks!
  5. No worries, every bug I find today is another I won't have to deal with later on down the road! SPLP also didn't work. It appeared to file fine, but no one would respond to me when I called for clearance. This was in the log: Error in btnFPLFile: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at P2A_2016.ATCFlt.SetNearestActiveWaypoint(Int32 AcftMagHdg) at P2A_2016.ucFltPln.q(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1) The next airport to the south, SPLX, appears to be working fine. I'll just fly up there and go VFR the rest of the way to Lima :)
  6. Another possibly related update. I planned SLPO AKTUN UM548 ASI SPIM but when I tried to file the plan, nothing happened. I found some exceptions in the log which I'll post below. Possibly also something to do with SPIM/SPJC? I filed the same route with destination of SPLP (just south of SPIM) and it worked fine. 8. I enter my route by hand into the GPS instead of using the import function. When I flew my route direct from 7S1 to 6S1 I didn't get vectors. I flew the GPS course direct to 6S1 and ATC kept telling me I was off course, because P2A had taken my 7S1 -> 6S1 route and changed it to 7S1 -> IF -> OM -> IM -> 6S1. I'll try the APPR button and see what that does. At what radius does P2A start providing vectors? I can try to make sure that I have a fix within that radius entered into my flight plan so that P2A doesn't expect me to head towards the IF until after it starts giving me vectors. For example, if I had planned 7S1 NELKS 6S1 then maybe P2A would have started giving me vectors before I hit NELKS (assuming it would start giving me vectors before I hit 12.5 nm from the airport).
  9. I just did a direct flight from 7S1 to 6S1, both small airports without procedures or towers, about 150nm apart. P2A sets up the flight perfectly and vectored me in for visual approach to the runway. If you load the route in P2A you'll see that the flight path is perpendicular to the landing path, so P2A actually needs me to deviate about 8nm south of the airport (when I'm flying east) in order to get lined up for the visual approach (the IF, OM, IM waypoints). The problem is that my GPS is taking me direct to 6S1, not to the point 8nm south of the airport that P2A needs me to go to. So I'm constantly being told that I'm off course when I fly my filed route. In real life, ATC would let me fly direct to 6S1 and then vector me when I get closer, rather than expecting me to fly direct to their initial vector for final. It would be great if P2A would let me get to within maybe 30 miles of the airport before it then vectored me to the IF fix. Or, at the very least, had an option where I could ask ATC for the heading to my next waypoint (from the aircraft's current position) and adjust my autopilot accordingly. I'm curious if there's a method currently implemented to get around this that I'm just not aware of. Thanks!
  10. I've been running into problems with getting altimeter settings when I drop below FL180. If I call ATC and ask for one, they usually tell me it's unavailable because my closest airport doesn't have that information, which I understand. I'm assuming that in the real world ATC would give you some sort of interpolated barometer value rather than leaving at 29.92". I fly in X-Plane which does actually provide barometers at every single airport even if NOAA doesn't. Can P2A read from these values to provide me with a barometer? I have the weather source set to Sim but it still doesn't seem to be using them. Or, as an alternative, can it provide the altimeter value from the closest airport that does have one? Maybe respond with something like "Altimeter 28.56 from KABC 150 miles to the north."
  11. Using 2.2.1.6 and flying from UT15 to KDLN rwy 35 RNAV approach (UNEPE transition). Route was direct to UNEPE and then following the published approach. Took off, got my clearance from Center, flying along just fine and was handed off to Center on 119.95 (KPWK Ctr) in the vicinity of Salt Lake. Switched over and called them but no response. Tried multiple times, no response to my greetings. P2A shows that it's recognizing my voice, that I'm assigned to 119.95, and that I'm tuned to 119.95. I gave it a while and tried to contact again some time later (2020 local) but my speech didn't register in P2A (though the green PTT box did illuminate). A couple minutes later I received instructions to switch to 128.35 (WRSC Ctr) which I did and, again, no response to my hails, though now my speech is registering again. Interestingly, I can get center to give me altimeter information but not radar contact. Remainder of the flight was uneventful -- KDLN wasn't towered so Center stayed with me the whole time; not sure if this bug would have affected handoff to another ATC position other than Center. Log: https://pastebin.com/zhfxfrXv
  12. Disregard, looks like Navigraph has a K in front of my three letters, so K4U9 works. I'll try some others but I assume that's what the problem was.
  13. I just installed 2.2.1.6 and manually updated AIRAC to 1706r4. I'm trying to plan a flight from 4U9 and got an error that I had to set the departure airport as the first waypoint of the flight plan. I tried making 4U9 the destination (from KDLN) and was told that it was unable to locate waypoint 4U9 in the database. I've tried some other three-character airports (6S1, 7S1) and have the same problem. A nearby tiny airport with a four-character code (MT05) works fine. However, I can pull up Taxi Maintenance and browse to 4U9 without any difficulty.
  14. Ran into the same problem on NV74-BCE-UT15. This time the enroute descent clearance would have put me into the ground though. And P2A setup the approach so that I would be at 1757' at UT15, even though the airport elevation is 5800'.
