  1. Second this, I already had EnvShade and the buildings on some sceneries used to show through the clouds, typically on Orbx ones. After the EnvShade patch it fixed the issue for me too 👍
  2. I did manage to narrow it down to the 717 and RAAS conflicting, as every other add-on aircraft worked like normal before uninstalling RAAS, only the 717 hanged and exited P3D. I run Office 2013 on my Windows 10 PC. As mentioned though, the thing that instantly fixed the hanging issue was uninstalling the RAAS and removing it's associated DLL.xml entry, this also seemed to be the sentiment from another user who had the same issue in V4, who's hanging issue was also resolved after uninstallation. Take from that what you wish... Morgan
  3. Hi All, Just a note that if you have the problem like I was having, whereby after installing the TFDi 717 your P3D would hang on loading after pressing the OK button when starting a scenario, this issue can be resolved by removing RAAS, either by uninstalling or temporarily disabling in the DLL.xml I spent a number of hours troubleshooting until I came across a solution in the TFDi Discord. Hope this helps! Morgan
  4. On a clean install of Prepar3d V4.2 and fresh out of the box PTA 2.61, while trying to apply a preset I am getting repeated errors along the lines of: Applying preset C:\Users\Morgan\Desktop\Presets\MattDavies1.3.ini... See log above Prior to reinstalling P3D completely, PTA had been working just fine with no errors, which has me stumped as to why all of a sudden it's spitting out these errors repeatedly, help would be much appreciated!
  5. I run my flight sim at 1920x1080 resolution, plenty good enough for me on a budget, no need for myself to have a 4k monitor when I won't take full advantage of it!
  6. How anyone can say that Ryzen is better or "not as good and never will be" as Intel is unknown to me. At the weekend I built a new PC with an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X (OC to 4GHz, Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB and 8GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz RAM. The performance of my new PC is godly, with max autogen and scenery complexity at Aerosoft Frankfurt V2, in the cockpit of the Aerosoft A320 with REX 4 Soft Clouds I can push a solid 35-40 FPS in the cockpit! At 29 Palms Skiathos in the exterior view of the PMDG 737 with the same settings as before, REX 4 Clouds too, I am pushing a constant 140-170 FPS ! To top things off, looking in Task Manager, my computer isn't even breaking a sweat! 40% CPU Usage, 20% GPU Usage, and 50% RAM Usage! In total my computer added up to around £800 for the Desktop itself, so anyone thinking they need to get a 7700K or be forced to use Intel, you're wrong! Save money and buy a 1600X, and make the most of the 6 Cores!
