I might be loading the airport XML file and allow the users to input the dest airport in my app, in order to compute the distance then MSFS

Hi guys, I am trying to write a C# Desktop app that reads data from the sim using SimConnect. I would need to find the distance to the destination airport in the flightplan loaded. Do you guys know what variables may I read in order to get that? Can I use somehow fs9gps variables to do so?

Hi Guys, I just got a deal for a notebook with the following hardware: intel i7-8750h GTX 1050 4GB (not sure if Ti or not) 16 GB ram nvme ssd + mechanical hdd. Now, I would like to do some airline flights just for fun, meaning, I won't be picky with flying like I am supposed to do in real life, but enjoy the "game" out of it. I will be mainly using freewares but I might be able to try pmdg 737 or 777 for long hauls. I will be using Lorby's Time machine for time compression, to shring the enroute flight time. the question is, since there is no change to time compress in a meaningful way in x-plane I should be using fsx:SE or P3DV4. given my hardware, what should i Pick? P3D or FSX:SE ?

Hi Jim, Thank you for your support, I did not change my addon aircraft, no modifications done, Antivirus is set to exclude the FSX Folder. I did not change or put a different versione of the uiautomationcore.dll. did not change the dll.xml file at all, I was not even aware of its existence 🙂

I only use FSXWX and FSX - ENBSeries as addons, and some textures for the runways, I also used VASMonitor to check whether I am running out of memory, but I never see the sim eating more than 50% of vas. The CTDs only happen when interacting with the right click on any menus, not in other situations.most of the times when changing views

Hi guys, I wanted to share some thoughts and ask for your advices have about flightsim. I own a laptop with it 8th gen and uhd620 as Igpu, and I would like to do some flights with fs2004. With this setup I can maxout fs2004 with no issue. I would like to fly liners and do long hauls increasing the SIM rate when I am enroute, let's say I want to fly between London and las vegas, reducing the enrout time simulating at 8x. I don't have high expectations in terms of planes and addons. Can you guys suggest some b737 freeware that can simulate cold and dark and use FMC? I don't need the pmdg or ifly level of details. What about environment add-on? Are there freeware stuff that can increase graphics?
