  2. Hi Ray , I understand. How difficult a learning curve was it go from FSX to P3D , I know your GF works , and I expect CP Flight would also work, but not to sure about PFC units, Do you notice the difference being a 64 bit OS, And is the academic at £50 the sams as the £200 just in case I decide to go that way . 3. Hi Ray, No not yet, There's just me and my little Yorke dog , Things are done slowly . I get fed up with software, and start other jobs around the Sim. You seem to have a lot of knowledge on Software, Were you in IT. Your GF is directly on a folder in C drive, and not placed within with the Sim Files Trubshaw
  4. Hi Ray. Mine are all over the place, means trying to find the right port, or re program each of them. I take it your FSX is in C drive, is your GF folder within FSX My Windows 10 is on C drive, with partition for FSX called F drive. where do you think I should install GF. In C or F The default seems to be C then program files x86 which many say not recommended due to Windows security ete. Trubshaw
  5. Hi Ray. Started W7 up tonight, All modules did the normal all lights flashing in the GF start up , except the two new modules, however they showed up in the Config window, and all worked in FSX. Having all my modules in a fixed set out in the cockpit, and having not plugged into the same USBs in the hub ports all the modules functions where in the wrong locations, ie once configed to keep the same display pattern you have to plug always back into the same hub usb slot, Or re program each modules functions for that particular module location. Where is your GF program installed, ie The path to it. In Windows x86 or in with FSX This PC>........>.........>..........> FSX look in Config to find the path and post Trubshas
  6. Hi Ray, Haven’t contacted GF yet, Hub mage in Twain could not see make, but will look up numbers on google, Point to note , It all works on W7 including the two new modules . this means that all the hardware is good.and Hubs are good, Which to me means it’s this stupid W10 OS , For FSX there is nothing to gain above W7 , Plus I might have altered something which has screwed it up. GF T8 Flat switch Panel, All lights. GF P8 Flat push button panel. Radios , Nav idents. GF ATC. 1x9. ATC selection box GF 48 x 4 Rotary + Push Button . R, A, E, Trims, Spoilers, tug, push back ETE. GF 46 x 6. Multi display module, Multi Function controller, Any new simmer this is the one for you, Go Fly does the lot. Thats 13 not a good number, CP flight MCP x 2 EFIS PFC Console , Av Stack, Rudder/ Brakes, Static Joy stick, Controls, Zooming , Views, etc 12 Monitors, 4 keyboard! 4 mice So many wire, the street lighting goes down. Gives me a head ache Trubshaw
  7. Hi Ray, Pulled out the two usb hubs today , and mounted them to an easy access position. Had to re route many cables, Copied the hub number down but it’s at home, Hubs are powered by two large transformers each having 7 USB Ports All the green light up, 12.78. at the power socket plug. So power is reaching the hubs. All modules show up in the GF Config. Window.and flash when clicked on. But now none of the modules come online with FSX. None work. Windows 10, Windows 7 works.. USBs not powered, but all light green Modules do not self test on start up. FSX path looks right. Not sure if I should do PC restore Do hubs have drivers, Genric showing Trubshaw
  8. Hi Ray . I live in Kent England, pity there’s no simmer close by. I’ve always found StarTech good in working with FSX, Maybe two of these will do the job. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/7-port-startech-superspeed-usb-30-hub-desktop-usb-hub-with-power-adapter-black I will contact GF but manufacturers support I find pretty poor. i will go ahead and fit them in, as they are good with Windows 7 trouble is if you have two OS you want both to work. i will pull the hubs out and let you know, and plus one in at a time. Trubshaw.
  9. Hi Ray. I’ve posted the logs today, but they are not showing up here ??? Trubshaw

  13. Hi charliearon. Thanks, spot on, back in VC, While I was there, I unticked the box ,Start with ATC, This has cured the mouse pointer with the rotating circle all the time reducing frame rate by half. In Eyefinity, it’s something to do with the size of the sub panels boxes, But once you’ve open a particular sub window which causes the mouse pointer problem, you can’t get rid of it, even if you close the sub window. 2 fixed , 100 to go Trubshaw
  14. Hi Ray Im in the 5th most populated country now with Coronavirus, England 689 people per square mile. Very worrying times. All PCs are networked together, so I can access folders, just keep Emails off of them. Yes. Copy and past should be OK, Difficult to get the make of the hubs as they are built in, I will try. Tried a different hub, Connected the two up to it, but still the same ,one will not come on line, You can trick it to come on, by pulling the usb in and out a few times, then all 6 will work for that session. On close down. ,one will remain lit up, until pc shuts down. Trubshaw
  15. Hi Ray. Never posted a log before, but will have a go when I get chance. No emails on my PCs , but can get google and avsim. The hubs are at 10 years or more old , but have been good, i have 3 spare hubs! Will look for another sure I have one somewhere. Trubshaw
  16. Hi Ray, Ive built 4 computers my latest is at 5.2 Ghs but I’m no expert but managed to get the OS on, but really not good with software but get by. i went to setting as suggested, the only option on the USB sleep was enabled or disabled . Today having disconnected all power to Modules I run the fixer W8 , it just flashed a black DOS screen for about a millisecond then gone, Did not fix the problem. I had a fully working Go Flight 11 module system both in W7 and W10. I purchased 2 more G 46 modules expecting to plug and play. Windows 7 accepted them and they work in the FSX Sim. Windows 10 will not, I can get 1 GF 46 to work on the other will not come on line. All 13 show up in the GF Config window in W10. This includes the 6 x GF 46, but the new two have caused problems. Always one will not work. In the GF Config.. Window when clicked each module icon it will flash so you can be identified the module, this one module will not flash, you can swap the actual modules around proving it not a module problem, it’s a software problem. It’s does Not go through the start up initiation flashing, and when closing the program it remain lit. To close it you either pull the usb out or shut down the pc to power off. No Pollybot used but if it will fix it ,I will get it. All my GF modules are run via 2 powered USB Hubs, I have three spare ports so I have plugged the two new modules in . I have tried another powered hub and plugged 2 modules in there, and directly usb to computer port., Also I have tried daisy chain the third hub to my other G F Hubs. Neither way will get the two on line, just one.will work, Are you limited to 12 modules, probably not Trubshaw.
  17. Hi All. My Windows 10 FSX had decided to start up in Cockpit View, I use to be Virtual Cockpit View, I Set Virtual Cockpit close down , but it starts up again in Cockpit View, How do I lock this as my start up view. Regards Trubshaw
  18. Hi Ray just to add. I notice in the GF Config window, gives me the unit number, all my 4 old GF 46s are v 1.17 the two new ones are v2.00 GF-46 Unite#4 (v2.00) is this about USB ? Have the Have the latest driver installed 2.28.0 exe Trubshaw
  19. Hi Ray. Been to W10 systems, Not sure what I’m doing, however, i changed the Power from Moderate to Performance, not sure if this is for battery computers or not. USB sleep thing, was set enabled, so set Disabled. PCI link state power management was ON set OFF, God knows what this does, Set the display and asleep set 2 hours Found the Go Flight Windows 8 fixer, CMD And GF Windows 8 Fixer exe And GF Windows 8 Fixer log. Which do I use, and how about my settings Trubshaw
  20. Hi again, I would just need Also to pull the.three USBs off the powered hubs, as these are connected to the computer, and a small amount of USB power is still going to the powered hubs, Trubshaw
  21. Hi Ray, im not at home at the moment, so I have not tried anything. I will have a look for the switch in setting, for usb.sleep Are you talking just about the go flight USBs only , or every thing connected to the pc.. My sim is wired via two main power supply switch, one allows power to the Computers and monitors, the other allows power to all the sim components, ie CPF, PFC, and Go Flight, etc, So with all Connected to the sim ,if I throw the main switch , no power will go to the sim, including Go Flight, I built it this way so as I could use PC and monitors without any part of the sim running. Will that be OK, if all it just de powered, the run your program as the computer are still powered up. As for the many modules all work, just the 2 new. Ones I am trying to get W10 to turn on and off and connect to FSX, Regard s Alan
  22. Hello Ray.Ive just counted up my Go Flight Modules comes to 13 unlike for some. All where working fine until I plugged in the two new GF 46s in Windows is 7 All seems to be working. its a dual boot computer with Windows 10 as well as 7. Windows 10 has always given me trouble! As regards for FSX performance between the two , which is why I purchased it, there is no difference, Ive tried all sorts of connections, Directly of the PCs USB ports, Daisy chain connection from the working GF hub to the new powered hub, Extra powered hub directly from the mains power. i had 4 GF 46s now I have 6 GF 46s.these to new ones don’t seem to initialise like the other, when starting all the others cycle in turn with all the little lights flashing, All 13 are seen in the gf config window, but one will not light up when clicked on, Unplug and re plug sometimes brings it to light up. By unplugging and replugging a couple of times I have managed to have all 6 working. The go to FSX and all 6 operational , Close down restart you are back to square one ! Upon shut down of FSX you can have one still lite up, will only go out when full pc shut down. where are these settings, Regards Trubshaw. Windows 10 a nightmare! With FSX, and that’s all I use it for!. Regards Trubshaw.
  23. Hello. Still having no success with sim connect. On my Server the FSX computer, in Programs and Features, I can see 3 msi. xxxxxxx with the name Client msi files. Should they appear in both Server and Client PC or Just the Client. ie The SKD msi, in the Server is not run / installed in the Server, but copied over to the Client PC and run/ installed there so they only show up in the clients Programs and Features window. Is the correct Regards Trubshaw .
  24. No it’s when look down the google browser, or Safari on iPad, Don't know how to send you the link. But open Safari type in Avsim Hardware , and look at the list, one states , This site may dammar your computer. Regards Trubshaw
  25. Hello Ray. Thanks for replying, I have many 11, from memory,, I have managed to get the two new GF 46s working using Windows 7 , My PC has two OS installed, W7 and W10, iIts always Windows 10 which causes problems. Just two many layers to navigate. Hiving run the GF 46s these are newer version , my old has twin rotation knobs, this one has just the one knob, and you press it in for the second function. i also connected them through another USB powered hub, even thow I had a couple of spare slots on the other powered hubs. As for W10 I will try again, and get back to you with the result. I have about six hours work in cutting and fixing them into my sim, at the moment i can’t find my sheet metal cutters , so may have to get another from E bay so it could be a week or so. Regards Trubshaw
