Hello Folks and happy Thanksgiving, Im sure this topic has been addressed before but im not in the forums that often. When I load a flightplan from simbrief into Msfs folder, And it appears on the start up screen route and all, I then choose a parking spot but it stays on a runway and will not allow me to choose a parking spot. It has never done that before . When I choose a parking spot it will move my plane to that location. I now have to pick a waypoint , not knowing the affect it will have and then i can choose a parking spot. Im sure im missing something. I was able in the past was to pull down the list of spots and then move to a spot, but not anymore. What am I doing wrong.......Thanks ....RobertC

Good morning folks, I want to apologize for my post concerning Asobo and Microsoft. There are folks that are enjoying this sim without all the problems other folks are having, Systems are different even if they have the exact same specs. I was wrong in assuming that Asobo and Microsoft do not know what they are doing, its obvious that perhaps I don't know what im doing or my updated system needs to be tweaked. Im not for sure hopefully the update will get fixed, which im sure it will. But that is no excuse for me saying those things ,and even ranting in a great forum like Avsim, which I also want to apologize to, and the folks here in the forum. I was wrong and a fool for doing so. Im positive I will get things running smoothly and I will continue to enjoy the sim. Thank you......RobertC

Hello Folks, This is just a question about the fellas at Asobo studios. It would appear that those folks either don't flight sim or they don't test the updates before launching. ever since I have bought the full MSFS software i have never gotten into a regular routine of flying, its a constant fix this or fix that , and when you think you got everything under control. a update comes by and screws everything up. Im concerned on how many more updates they blindly will launch without knowing the impact it will have on the community , and not knowing the effects it will have. Im now wondering if the folks over at Asobo know about flight sims and how they really work. They seam to just think its a game and they don't understand how really serious this sim is to folks that have been simming perhaps longer than some of there ages. Third party vendors are very, very important and they are what makes flightsimming absolutely realistic from weather, ATC, cities airports Etc. Its so real now that we have push-back, vendors loading planes, even plane marshals guiding us. From start up to shut down, if not for the third party vendors it would be just a game. Flight simmers fly these planes just as real pilots fly there planes. So im just venting just to let you folks over at MSFS sim that we take this hobby, sport, escapism whatever you want to call it a chance to experience something that most of us will never get to do and that is soar the skies. Im not telling you folks how to do your job, but i am suggesting that you folks thoroughly test your updates with the community in mime. and not just throw it out there and we have to spend more money and time to get it working right. Im just wanting to get a handle on the sim without constantly fixing it ,after i spent over a hundred dollars on this software. I have a right to complain to your company. You folks over at MSFS have a nice day. RobertC

Can you explain that one again , just how do you assign the prop axis to allow the throttle to go from right to left. I have the ch eclipse yolk and have not been able to get it to work properly.. Thanks....RobertC

SO if I understand you folks correctly , you must go to the Microsoft store and download the Xbox app. and then you will be able to update Msfs 2020. Am i reading this correctly? thanks.....RObertC

Hello folks I have a real dumb question to ask, I have been flying sims for twenty years plus and im feeling real stupid now. All was well before the update 5. The tbm 930 was great with the mod updates and other things in the community folder. But now after the update nothing seems to work, not even FSUIPC works right. So I renamed the community folder to allow msfs to create another community folder and start from scratch with the default Tbm 930. And even that plane is not correct, for example you cannot add way points and the throttle set up is not responding like before. And the crash bar is up. Where do I go from here? I understand that there is a hot fix, but where do you get it and how do you load it? And will that solve the problems. And can someone explain what is really going on here. I have dealt with tons of updates before, but none as weird as the ones with this MSFS 2020. Im hearing reports that third party developers have to shelve there releases because of this update, is that true. Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thank you RobertC RobertC

Hello folks i have two questions. Where exactly do you put add ons in MSFS, I have to locations, one location is Steam library/ community. And the other one is user/name/App data/ roaming/MSFS/packages/Community. The reason I ask is that the steam one I added a file called Mod tbm-930 improvement and all i get is a plane with no cockpit. But when I go to the user // community the file is not even there. Are they not the same community folder and if not which one is correct. I have been using the steam library one and all seem to work , now all of a sudden it does not. Has there been a upgrade in MSFS that may have caused the problem. All im trying to do is add the Mod tbm-930 improvement and nothing seems to work in neither community folder. If im in the wrong area my apoligies. Thanks .....RobertC

So basically the answer is no that MSFS 2020, cannot or will not remember where you are at when you end your flight . So as the gentleman said write down where you are parked at, and load the sim accordingly. I spent 120 dollars on a sim and they missed that? very interesting. Its also very interesting that it crashes when you do save a flight. Hhhhhhhhhmmmmm, You MSFS fellows have your work cut out for you. Because even though this sim is second to none, I see where FSX has a couple of better attributes that this sim does not have. This most definitely is not a game changer for me , but it does take away some of the submersion. Well anyway folks, I thought id just ask. RobertC

Hhhhhmmmmmm, well im confused , one post says he can do it without no problems, the other says it cannot be done. Seems to me that it can be done. Fsx , did it with no effort. So am i to believe that they did not take this into account, that you would want to continue where you left off at an airport. You have to start a whole new flightplan and be in a different area where you left off. Not very realistic to me. It should be automatic like it was in FSX. Fsx would ask you if you want to continue where your at or start a whole new flight. Just wondering, thats all. Thanks.....RobertC

Hello folks, im sure this has been discussed before. When i fly to a airport and i park my aircraft, what are the procedures in starting your sim up and you are exactly where you left it.Meaning if im in parking slot A3, how do i resume where i left off. I save the game after I landed, and gave it a name. But when I load the sim to start a new flight and load the saved flight, it crashes to desktop. Am I missing something, it would be nice to start where i left off. If I shut the plane down and saved where im at , is there a way to return where you are at. Thanks.......RobertC

Hello folks, hope all is well during this lock up. I,m using the Zibo 737-800, and it really does not matter what plane im using. When i load RC, and im ready to get Atis two different atis recordings will come up. and they are two different freq. For instance, I live in INDY and the icao code is KIND. the atis freq. 134.250. But with RC. when I push the key #2, to get Atis. (after of course i have loaded the corrected flight plan) , I will get two different recordings , they will be close but they may be different in wind and direction, and the barometer will be off by several points and the runways will be always different. The question is how come RC, has a different freq. and why is it different. from the kind. I follow the RC. instructions or i will be off. With the Zibo 737-800, I actually set the freq 134.175 and got one freq. But with RC, the Atis was 124.400, and I got a whole different recording. Am I missing something. Thx...........RobertC

Hello Folks, Im a little confused on W3. I have downloaded W3 and have put all the appropriate files in there folders , except the aircraft. Am I supposed to load airplanes or what. I listened to the video but he is not explaining where do you get Airplanes. What am I missing here. RobertC

Hello folks, my name is RobertC, and i have been using Radar C. form years. i recently moved to another state and bought a home. Upon doing so for some reason i have lost my copy of RC. i re downloaded it from his cloud. im a little confused on where to get the key generator and so forth. i read a few threads and i believe you folks said that its in a locked pin and look for item 2. Im as old as dirt, so can you be more pacific on what and where is item 2. i believe i can get it working, just need a little help. Thanks RobertC

Hello Folks, I finally after hours of configuring got it up and working, but there is a problem. when I start XP and then load radar Contact the display window does not show up. All settings work , but just the display not showing up. Thx...RobertC

When I load rc4toxp it does not prompt me for a key, it just loads and thas it. do I have to manually insert the registration key. Is there a step by step tutorial. After I register Radar Contact, what do I do with it close it, open it? The rc4toxp folder is in plugins and the folders 62 and 32 are present in rc4toxp. As I said there is no asking of reg.key or anything, just loads the file in the proper place, and when I try to start XP in admin I get the error that that the Xplane exe and the 32 bit xp exe. need to be set to admin. Where is the 32 bit xp exe? What do you mean by set to admin and not start in admin? Am I missing a step? I have loaded Radar contact and registered it on the same computer as Xp 11. I then loaded rc4toxp , and it loaded I believe all the appropriate files except the the key file. The rc4toxp file , plugins/rc4toxp/ 64,32 are present. I don't believe there is an error in running XP. No problem until trying to load rc4toxp. Seems to be straight forward. THX...…..RobertC

Im sorry I get the same error administrator rights. I started both rc4toxplane as ADMIN and the same with Radar contact. is that what you mean. The plugin folder has RC4toXPlane in it and I started it as admin. I loaded Radar contact as admin also. So what happens from there. Do I just start XP. And how do you register RC4toXPlane. ( a valid key). Instructions are terrible. RobertC………………..THX

Hello folks, first time in yhis forum. I have been using XP for about a year now and its great. I come from FSX world for about twenty years and I have used radar contact as far as I can remember. But now im using XP. 1. I have loaded RC4toXP and I see it in my plugins' folder but when I load XP its not there in plugins. 2. I have radar contact registered. can I have radar contact running on a second monitor or does it have to be on the server with XP. 3. Also when loading XP11 I get an error saying I must set up XP exe and XP exe32 bit to administrator rights. I always start Xp in ADMIN rights. 4. The directions seem a little vague. What im wanting to do is run XP one the server and run Radar contact on my second monitor(client). that's how I ran it with FSX. All my secondary utilities run on a network. If not how can I get the right procedure done to get it up and running. THX...………………...RobertC
