  1. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yes - I have read that manual, however it does not specify where to put commands such as "G1000_MFD_SOFTKEY6".

Searches I have done on the forum have not shown up any information.

Can you please let me know where these settings are configured.

    Allan

  2. I am unable to extend the spoilers via kebyoard or Thrustmaster. In P3D the keyboard "/" is specified. I have also tried to set up one of the buttons on my Thrustmaster. So far nothing works.

The switch to the right of the throttles does work but it is very hard to use a mouse to turn it on when coming in to land.

    Any suggestions?

  3. I have just bought this plane and am running it on P3D V5. I have spent a lot of time watching the training video and documenting the procedures.

I have not yet figured out the altitude control. I have set the digital altitude display to 4000. After takeoff  I enable HDG and then arm ALT SEL. The plane does not level out at 4000 and continues to climb.

Any suggestion on the correct procedure for the AP to work with the altitude setting would be appreciated,

    Allan - newby

  4. I am a relative newby to FSX.

When using the radio stack to land one of the Microsoft FSX planes at Sydney Kingsford Smith airport, there is no distance or speed shown on the DME panel.

For example, if I am landing on runway 07 - the ILS/DME frequency is shown as 109.9 for the airfield. I enter this in NAV1 and make it active.

When I approach the runway, the NAV button lines the aircraft up with the runway. At no stage does are speed or distance shown in the display.

In desperation I have tried various combinations of buttons pressed of NAV1 and DME with no display. I have also tried various Microsoft propeller aircraft.

As an aside, the OFF button in the DME display cannot be moved - I guess it is permanently on - like wise the knob does not turn.

I have seen a UTUBE video where it does work.

Any suggestions as to how this can be made to work?
