I use Pilot2Atc at the moment for MSFS.

The biggest plus for VoxAtc which I used with Prepar3d was that it actually generated and controlled its own traffic, but I don't use Prepar3d anymore.

With all the current ATC software the problem is that they don't control the traffic which is I think really a big letdown because that is what ATC does isn't it? Separating traffic?

So maybe it would be better to call it radio telefony trainers.......

However at the moment I use for offline Atc Pilot2Atc which does the job quite good except that it does not actually does Air Traffic Control.

With two little children I don't have the opportunity to fly online al the time with Vatsim / IVAO which is of course the best!

Are you sure that Pilot2Atc doesn't manage the traffic?

I've read somewhere a while a go that MSFS also uses a lower limit of somthing like ~0.3m (don't know the exact value).

So there must be more than x cm snow before it shows up in MSFS.

Ok, but as you can see from the map from meteoblue, in this specific case there are meters of snow. I think that in some area this option is not working, like unenabled

Check this website to show you where real world snow coverage is:

Weather Maps | Live Satellite & Weather Radar - meteoblue

Asobo did well here to only have snow where it is present in the real world.  The only time it's not working is when the weather system is down like everyday around 6pm - 7:15pm.

Despite the map from asobo in Sicily (Italy), it is not working. At all.

    Meteoblue is correct. MSFS not.

  4. I was looking at this software.

Is this software able to manage the AiG injected airplanes?

Is in general this software able to put in holding the airplanes or it uses the "go around" procedure?

Another question: Is this software able "to close the airport" and consequently to divert the planes due to bad weather conditions?

    I'm asking too much 😁

  5. AIG is really unbelievable. Now the default ATC is poor and not ready.

I am sure that with next update Asobo will fix the big issues (like the altitude bug), but with AiG working well we need an ATC service able to manage holding patterns, managing diverting in case of bad weather, to assign correctly Star and Sid, to assign vectors.

I'm really disappointed by the default ATC after one year. We are still stuck on a 2004 FSX ATC.

Yes. Just sat at Glasgow airport and a KLM flight to Amsterdam was interacting with atc to pushback and taxi etc. Really impressed what they've achieved despite the current limitations with MSFS2020

    Wow!

I'm really impressed. The only thing is missing, apart the default ATC inefficiency, is the holding pattern management that at the moment is completely absent. Actually the only way to manage the traffic on final is the go around.

This improvement is missing in all the other simulators and only one ATC addon was able to do that (I don't remember the name).

  7. Instead should be nice to have a hybrid system. A platform like Vatsim but without voice speaking, using the default phraseology of the sim, with the possibility to play as ATC and with the possibility to kick out from the server who is not following the rules.

In this way you can have a lot of traffic from real people and also going in every airport when there is no human ATC, since you can use the default.
It's enough to ensure interaction between the users that is completely absent at the moment. It's a pity that multiplayer system is completely failure at the moment.

    Who agrees?
