    Hello,

When I do this action, the MCDU returns "AOC SEC F-PLN UPLINK" but I no longer have the import of the Simbrief flight plan (EFB does have the flight paln).

You would click the sec flt plan button again and then LSK R3 to Activate.

In Simbrief there's now for the A320 category CFM and IAE versions of the A320.

On the INIT page on MCDU click LSK R2, that should import simbrief plan.

Bunchy, Dad showed me how to do it through the EFB then through the LSK R2 as always. Only thing that tripped me after was the PERF button to activate the data that was missing for ILS to work.

importing from simbrief was and still is tricky. I strongly suggest to check some tutorials on youtube. a quick search on Fenix' KB was not too successful except you start from INIT Request

    https://kb.fenixsim.com/i-received-aoc-sec-f-pln-uplink-after-init-request

Then you need to count to 3 or even 5 and then select SEC F-PLN on the MCDU and click import (IIRC) and then ACTIVATE... enroute now so cannot check until landed in some 30-40min from now 🙂

Thanks. Just flown yesterday now no pilot id anywhere to enter not even in the app.

Thank you so much! How did you manage to find those values?

Late reply to this. He would have found the 3 numbers Hex on left and Decimal value in the Single (float32) line in the Data inspector tab on the right of HxD this after search for text strings regarding the Sky effects if you're wondering how he did it. Technical stuff absolutely, now you know.

  5. Anyone who still wants the tutorial on how the Steam version is edited from the YouTube video source.

Copy the .exe from Program Files(x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common folder to desktop.

    Open HxD64

    Open Search Replace menu.

    Open Floating point tab

Select search direction to all for value 1 and 2        Value 3 use forward direction.

Change First value from            0.00065 to 0.00508

Change Second value from        0.001881 to 0.00318

Change Third value from                 0.000085 to 0.0

Then save to the desktop version making sure you've backed up the original.

  6. Not really related to this however not only can you use hxd64 for this exe file hack you can use it for the cgl files to remove the white boundary around city and airport sceneries  (Forgive the non technical explanation of the effect).

Just open the hxd64 and drop the cgl file in  Select all  Then in fill selection option enter 00 in hex-value and save.

Remember to backup the cgl files.

I had to do a clean install of my Windows the other day and now I‘d like to reinstall MSFS. Since I still have all of my MSFS files on a separate drive, I‘d like to do this without having to redownload everything. Does anyone happen to know how this can be done?

For ms store version just open xbox app then install the 2gb Executable in the c drive then play/run and once the install shows the amount of imstall size click on text string and point that to the folder with community and official in it.

Steam you have to setup the location of the drive of the steamlibrary make it default drive and then do the same as ms store (installer in c drive) and when the installer askes to install size again click on text string and then in this csse point to Steamlibrary/common folder

    Hope that makes sense.

I want to delete all the aircraft that I never fly or never will in MSFS but I can't find where the aircraft files are located. I have the Store version. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys!

Official/OneStore/asobo-aircraft-c152 all the way down to asobo-aircraft-tbm930 and maybe further if youve got more added.

Open simObjects/Airplanes folder then the folder name of the airplane ie asobo-Generic-(name of aircraft)

    Then open aircraft.cfg with notepad

    change

isAirTraffic = 1 ; airtraffic flag for variations

    to

isAirTraffic = 0 ; airtraffic flag for variations

Remove everything else in content manager before doing this then reboot and run sim and exit to save any new info from content removal.  There is a possibility of update failure from then on so backup your Main folder with community and official sub folders that reside in it offline somewhere.

    OK.  Help is needed, please.

I corrupted my Win10, while doing electrical work on some lighting in my house.  Nothing that I could do to fix my Win10, after trying about 20 web based solutions.

I gave up, did a Win10 reinstall.  Which wasn't too bad really, it cleaned up a lot of mess from over the years.  However, I'm left with reinstalling programs.

All my old data is saved in a fold called Windows.old...in it, I see all my MSFS base program and my links to Add-on Linker.

I copied this data to their exact locations as they should be.

But then I realized I had no means to launch the sim.  I went to the MS Store (which is in itself a nightmare from elm street). I located and tried to install the sim from there, where is says "you own this program"...the installation doesn't work, I tried several times...then I searched online for solutions to get the store to let me install the game.

    Hopeless! To put it mildly.

Has anyone got experience with this?  Know how to get the program back on a system?

    Bryan

Run the XBOX app and see if its installed in it. Run it and you'll see a directory string then click on it and point to where you had the original folder with the 2 sub folders community etc. in it. I'm sure someone else would have a better idea though.
