  1. Great job, Lorby! Importing the database after updating worked perfectly. Thanks for such a quick solution for 2024.
  2. Hi, I appreciate the instructions, now I have a script, yay! and I know how to do them, double yay!. But it still has the same issue. When I depress the button, the Windshield Heat activates, when I release the button it deactivates, rather than acting as a toggle. https://gyazo.com/9dcc0109fdbe315cf5df64945b6efb8e Kat Disregard, I still had the old button assignment. It works great now, thanks so much!!!
  3. Thanks! I haven't created a script before, so I will read the documentation on how to do that. But, don't be surprised if I'm back eventually. Hopefully, as I spend more time with AAO, I'll have less questions. Kat
  4. Hi, I thought it would be simple to program a toggle switch, press it to turn on windshield heat, press it again to turn it off. But I've tried both button and axes and I can get it to activate when I push down the button, but it deactivates when I release the button. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Here's a screenshot: https://gyazo.com/0aaa6fb29ee18386dd5320352fa5371d any help would be appreciated. Kat
  5. I'm so over my head on a lot of this stuff. I guess there's a reason I never wanted to be a programmer. I looked up Input Events for MSFS but all I can tell is that it translates something into something else so it's easier to program. I think. But I'll send parts of our conversation to the Dev, see if he can create an Input Event I can use. Thanks, Kat
  6. Great, thanks for all the information. I'm not in a position to test it at the moment, but I will let you know if I can get it to work. I'm going to try to map it to a different 3-position spring-loaded switch on my joystick. I have high hopes and low expectations, but we'll see. Thanks again, Kat
  7. Hi, Thanks, and yes, I was using a 2nd assignment for down, but neither one was working, so figured I'd just send you one of them. And maybe a dumb question, but how do I add ", number" to the end of an LVar for a switch? for the axis I could input my own, but for a button that doesn't appear to be an option. Thanks! Kat
  8. Hi, I just got the Blacksquare Duke, and for the most part, I've been able to use AAO to map switches and buttons that aren't in MSFS, but I'm having difficulty with the Surface DeIce. It's a 3 position switch, but springloaded to the center position. The variable for it is "L:var_SurfaceDeiceSwitch" 0 = AUTO, 2 = MAN. I've tried mapping it to my Honeycomb Bravo Flap lever, since it's also 3 position, springloaded to the center, but not having any luck so far. Here is my latest try: https://gyazo.com/181c82af52c82ff97f4d277569328a5f
  9. Hi, Thanks so much for the reply, and with a little tinkering it works great! I really appreciate the quick response, and you have a new customer now. Thanks again, Kat
  10. Hi, I am currently just trying the demo of AAO to see if it's something I want to buy. I'm trying to use the Z axis on my joystick to control the cabin heat on the Black Square Analog Bonanza, and I can't seem to get it to respond. I get the feeling I'm not using the Lvar provided by the developer correctly. I can get the axis to work with the cowl flaps through AAO, but when I enter the Lvar for cabin heat (L:XMLVAR_Cabin_Heat_2_Position) nothing happens. I don't really know what I'm doing with this, so not sure how to explain it better. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kat
  11. Okay, thanks. I'll give it a shot.
  12. Hi, not sure of the best way to explain this, but for switches 17-21 (upper left), how do I reprogram those with Axis & Ohs? I want to be able to choose one, and then use 13/14 (plus/minus) to adjust the values. Specifically I'm looking to program Com 1 frequencies with the top 2 buttons, 20/21. I'm very new to the product, so sure I'm just missing something, any help would be appreciated.
