  1. Yea... both LinkVOR and LinkOBS are set to 'true'. Thanks for your help, anyway.
  2. Excellent! I'm away from the sim at this moment, but I will check it tonight. RXP is very realistic, so I'm not surprised that it is just a setting issue and could be changed to look/feel like the GNS430 in my plane. I'll take another look at the manual for the 430 (the non-sim version) to see if that could be adjusted in the AUX/Settings menu.
  3. It is VERY likely I'm doing something wrong, so be patient with me ;). Here is my question: when I want to use the OBS button to set up hold I get a pop up window that allows me to specify the course I want to follow. In the real a/c I fly, I only get that window if I don't specify the fix and fly DIRECT to it. Once that fix and D is set, turning of the OBS dial (set to GPS on the VOR unit) adjusts the course according to my needs. In the Reality XP GNS 430 that doesn't happen. In oder to specify the Inbound I have to press the OBS button (on 430) again and manually enter the Inbound course (or any other I wish to fly). Am I doing something wrong? Example: I fly on the sim to a fix (DIRECT). I press the OBS button on GNS430 and a pop up window suggests the heading that will get me to the fix. Pressing Enter confirms that heading and establishes the magenta line. However, when I get to the fix and want to change that course to the Inbound, I have to go back to the OBS button (on 430) and manually dial that new course. In the real aircraft, I simply move the dial on the GPS-VOR unit and the magenta line moves along on 430. Equipment: X-Plane 12 with, Reality XP GNS430, AirManager instruments (GPS/VOR). Thanks!
  4. Sadly, this is the greatest drawback of these units. The old databases are kind of OK for the land-based approaches (VOR, ILS/LOC), but the RNAV stuff is really obsolete. Many of these approaches have changed since the time the Reality-XP databases were last updated (different procedures, changed fixes, etc.). I'm wondering how it was possible Reality-XP to get that original db from Garmin and why it is impossible to make one-time updates. Navigraph is sweet, but the stock 430/530 units are not... After using R-XP's stuff it is hard to go back to the stock.
