The second picture is interesting. It does look like photogrammetry, esp. behind the aircraft on the left. But then again the surface is almost too smooth and there are no weird tree/bush artifacts that you usually get with PG. In any case, it looks absolutely fantastic.
The rocks in the rescue scenes look great as well, a lot better than the ones we currently have I‘d say.
Maybe the nice rocks are due to the new engine with AI. Can't wait.

Frame generation does not solve stuttering--in fact it doubles the number of stutters per unit time, when stuttering is happening. My method provides ultra smooth animation at modest frame rates:
I guess that there is no free lunch with FG.

Do we know what the July surprise will be yet?

Curious why you think this.. if improvements to weather (i.e. tornados actually simulated and not scripted/canned), graphics, flight dynamics, etc are coming then tubers definitely would be interested in MSFS 2024 wouldn't they? Unless you're mean if it's just the missions stuff then tubers won't care?
Core changes will most likely make it into the base sim. So no reason to upgrade for the good (fun) stuff IMO.

Tubers won't be interested in MSFS 2024 which is almost a guarantee hence the new version. Meaning half of this post's remarks can be dismissed.

Best to consider many AVSIM posts as entertainment. (Including mine) 🤪

I highly doubt that there will be a brand new SDK for MSFS 2024. An updated one with new features certainly.

Seems to me that MSFS 2020 will be reserved for the tuber crowd and MSFS 2024 is for the simmers who want to have fun.

Looks like they are finally doing seasons! What nonzense. Lol

New York to Chicago? You're just asking for trouble.
I would be surprised if I did not get a CTD.

Why wouldnt you like statics? Seems to be a good compromise from frame killing AI software which I have no interest in.
More statics and less AI = more performace and less baloney IMO.

One thing that I feel is truly fantastic and something that I often wished for in FSX / P3d are night lights out of nowhere in the boonies. Saw them yesterday and was blown away.

Something to keep in mind if using the Google mod - Google severs take many billions of hits each day so they most likely have checks to lock out ips that have multiple computers hitting similar data like their tile servers.
This makes alot of sense to me which is yet another reason why I use ARCGIS with the mod.

Any word on when Calgary will be in the MP?

The synching data page went away with SU12.

Whatever ASOBO is doing I hope that they keep it up because MSFS just keeps getting better and better.

There is alot more to the topic than I thought: https://www.windowscentral.com/nvidia-dlss-dsr-dldsr

I see way more cloud artifacs using the Google servers but ARCGIS seems mostly clean with more natural coloration. Bing tiles usually have some weird purple brown look.
Maybe its just me but good to have choices.
BTW I fly mostly in PNW and Alaska.
Sorry but nothing to add for the OP.

I'd stick with the HJET if there are issues.

MSFS weather gets it right except for cirrus clouds. Other than that I'm happy.
sp

DLSS is an AI and more foweard looking tech so I would pass on DSR which was a good P3D era tech.

I'd go with the HJET for now until the VJet gets worked out.

MP Pending Transaction Fix
in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Posted · Edited by Sky_Pilot071
Some of us have been blindsided by this one so that we were unable to make a purchase from the MarketPlace. My last episode occurred because I started the sim as administrator and tried to make a purchase.
I tried all the other voodoo but ended up resetting the Windows Store as outlined in this link. Note this is for Windows users only.
How to get rid of the error messages "Purchase pending" and "Purchase failed" on a Windows 10|11 device – Microsoft Flight Simulator Support (zendesk.com)
Hope this helps as it can become frustrating really fast for some of us.
Thing is that now I understand that the Microsoft store and the MarketPlace are tied in some way.
Cheers
