  1. No pop-out fps loss any longer... I previously used a 10700K on Asus 490e with Gigabyte 3070 and lost 15fps to pop-outs and air manager. Replaced with 7800x3d on Gigabyte B650 Elite AX. No fps loss now using the 3070 or my current 4080 Master. I now understand the trouble that Asobo must be having regarding this problem since it can go away after a hardware change. Also, it does not matter if I use the discrete GPU or the B650 IGPU. Set 70 degree at -20 offset in UEFI. To run substantially cooler and quieter with almost no performance hit you can disable the overclock. Cinebench score from Guru3d 18193 multi-core, 1785 single. My system at 70deg/-20 17926 multi-core 1690 single. Set: Tweaker / (PBO) Enhancement / 70 / Level 2 Save and Reboot. Return to UEFI. Set: Settings / AMD Overclocking / PBO Limits --- Disable Verify: Settings / AMD Overclocking / Curve Optimizer --- All cores --- Negative --- 20 (More can be achieved on a per core basis if you want to put the time into verifying the stability of each core/thread.)
  2. Yesterday, at Las Vegas using high end animated mod in daytime, computer crashed then rebooted (frame rate about 40). Today, tested it again same area but at night, frame rate dropped to 25. Checked drive with system managed page file (nvme) and it has over 800MB available. Out of curiosity I set another system managed page file on my large nvme drive that has msfs on it. In game frame rate now exceeds 60fps (using vsync locked to 60 fps Tobi micro-stutters without it). This system has 32GB of 5600 RAM but the pagefile seems to be very necessary whether it is used or not. Thermaltake level 2gt, Gigabyte b670, 7800x3d, Noctua D15, 1GB and 4GB Nvme M.2, TCL 65in, LG 32in, W 24in, 3 nope - 2 Wimaxit 15.6in touchscreen (1 just died), HC Alpha, HC Bravo, Thrustmaster rudder pedals, Cyberpower Upc, and AirManager.
  3. Was considering upgrading either my rtx 3070 to a 40 series, or my 10700k to 13700k. After reading countless posts here at Avsim and some further research I finally decided on the AMD 7800x3d, Gigabyte b670 Mb, and Corsair 5600 Vram. Results are as follows: It was the correct choice. Previously fps ranged from 47 to 52 fps on 1440p mostly high settings with Kodiak Amphibian and AirManager in use on two monitors. 'Mostly' meaning my Terrain Lod was only at 70! (Note: 71 fps if AirManager wasn't enabled and flying a 172). Now running 4k dlss performance (upscaling from 1080p) almost everything at ultra (had to reduce textures to high to prevent exceeding available Vram) . Turned on Vsync @60 fps so that Tobi doesn't stutter (80 fps at Reno/Tahoe without having it enabled caused Tobi to micro-stutter) AirManager enabled. Sim is running extremely smooth. Won't have to buy an overpriced video card (again). They took my scalp and hung it on their wall when I purchased the rtx 3070. Glad I'm not going to be repeating that nightmare. So, for anybody out there wondering which you should upgrade first: if you are mainthread limited upgrade your CPU. If your CPU doesn't have anything left to give then buying a monster video card will supply no improvement. I'm so very thankful that the expert advice given here at Avsim led me on the path to make the right choice. Thermaltake level 2gt, Gigabyte b670, 7800x3d, Noctua D15, 1GB and 4GB Nvme M.2, TCL 65in, LG 32in, W 24in, 3 nope - 2 Wimaxit 15.6in touchscreen (1 just died), HC Alpha, HC Bravo, Thrustmaster rudder pedals, Cyberpower Upc, and AirManager.
  4. Phrases to say <CallSign>request descent to <Altitude> Outputs too: Say this You can say:Cessna One Victor Bravo request climb to <Altitude> This is only one example of many that seem to be incorrect. This example is under Tower, Request, ToAltitude. Other examples under VFRAirspaceEntry, RequestedAltitude, DirectTo. Tower, Information, PatternDirection is another. Clr_Twr, Request, VFRAirspaceEntry also. etc., etc... These are just a few examples. If these are using the same code that the active program uses it would explain why many phrases spoken don't work correctly. They certainly don't seem to work in the practice tool. Apologies in advance if I'm mistaken.
