MH-60 comming for FS 2024 !
This is correct. The MH60 IRL does not have heading modes. No heading select, no LNAV. Heading changes are commanded manually. However, upon engaging the AFCS system, the aircraft will keep the lastest heading recorded prior to engage. To change heading, a coordinated turn WITH pedal will change the heading. We are rolling the tutorials and rest of documentation in the upcoming hours. Its been a very hectic release day, with our capacity overloaded. Hence the slight delay. Also, as long as the manual is followed, these work correctly. SAS is never supposed to be off - the off position is "semi-simulated". Keep in mind that SAS off on this aircraft is considered an emergency. Autopilot works correctly as long as the corresponding deadzones are configured. Trim is more of an assist for users with limited hardware or experience (eg. want to avoid configuring a trim release keybind). For many experienced users, TRIM OFF is probably the recommended way to go This is noted already, and will be addressed soon

MH-60 comming for FS 2024 !
This is all correct. Military helicopters, and particular these type of Navy helis, are very limited with regard to IFR flying. Since most operations are above water at low altitude, or from ships, these helicopters primarily operate using "FTPs" (fly to points), which are coordinate-based waypoints loaded onto the aircraft prior to a flight using a datakey. IFR maps following SIDs and STARs are rarely followed. As an ATC on a busy area, you wouldn't want a heli flying at 60 knots slowing down approaches for everyone else.

MH-60 comming for FS 2024 !
2020 or 24? If on 2020, we have two different options to chose from. If on 2024, we are using 100% stock animations with the new interpolated motion blur

MH-60 comming for FS 2024 !
This is very old information and not accurate to the release state of the product. We have, in fact, modeled force trim in four different selectable ways to appeal to different users and hardware configurations: https://docs.miltechsimulations.com/miltech-simulations-mh60/aircraft-and-systems/aircraft-systems/force-trim-system As for this video, the creator has delisted it as there was multiple issues during his flight as result of a bug introduced on last night's SU3 Update, and it does not represent the state the project was released for the stable branch of MSFS. https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/t/after-last-nights-su3-beta-update-many-systems-on-my-new-release-are-broken/15045

Miltech Sim Chinook CH47D Released March 8
Tandem rotors do require pedals to do coordinated turns. They may also get into a "crab flight position", requiring pedaling to align the nose. Please also take into consideration that this is a placeholder flight model for the time being, as MSFS won't support tandem rotors natively. So the physics and handling of it may change in the next couple of weeks.

Measurements are never going to be a perfect 1:1 unless we had a LIDAR 3D scan of the aircraft, which generally we don't have. We do what we can given the few datapoints we have and then extrapolate the rest - there will always be some discrepancies. Cockpit internals is something we generally have zero dimensions for, and therefore has to be made to fit with the other dimensions. I added a few references to our forums here: https://miltechsimulations.talkyard.net/-223/ch47d-dimensions

Miltech Sim Chinook CH47D Released March 8
This is an (overly common) issue with new releases.. For some reason the pilot model animations keep breaking.. And this results, not only in a visual anomaly, but also in significant performance stutters in exterior camera. This is being resolved - we are creating our own custom pilot models.

Should be done in the next update - 1 to 2 weeks.

Miltech Sim Chinook CH47D Released March 8
Correct - its already functional and being tested with the new SU15 flight model. The PID controllers are finetuned for the new flight model.

Miltech Sim Chinook CH47D Released March 8
Thanks everyone for the overwhelmingly positive feedback we have been getting in the past couple of days. No product launch is perfect (especially with such a complex project with this many "pieces"). We are working hard to fix those initial set of bugs reported - an update will be released in the next day or two. As usual, release notes are available here: https://miltechsimulations.talkyard.net/.../miltech... In the meantime, our friends at AviationLads have created a great trailer video for us - go watch it now on Youtube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA6ijd92w_c

ECLs use the stock “click and drag” MSFS interaction method, make sure your interaction settings are set to Modern in your MSFS Settings. This probably also applies to the issues you are having with other switches. Not too sure what’s your expectations on that regard. Anything you’d like to see on the manual let me know and will be added.

As for this - unfortunately we do not have access to VR Testing. Would be great if you can get in touch with us as im unfamiliar with VR. Your feedback would be beneficial to improve in that aspect

Miltech Sim Chinook CH47D Released March 8
Just a few details I’d like to clarify: - the flight model has been validated by CH47 Pilots and Technicians. She’s a heavy and stable beast and flies as such in the sim - AFCS (Autopilot) is non functional on initial release as per described in the product description. The flight model is changing in a couple of weeks with SU15, and that will affect autopilot as well. As such, we have decided to temporarily postpone this feature. But we have a system fully developed from scratch for the aircraft. - No vibrations atm due to performance and stability. This is known that may cause issues for some users, and decided that would be best to release without. Once the product is stable, we’ll look into adding these “cosmetic changes” - Manual is available on our site, linked on the product page. Its being constantly edited as we receive feedback, and as such its fully online for now but will be available in PDF once its “completed” hope that clarifies a few details! :)
