  1. Made some nice updates in volumetric clouds configuration file and small adjustments in HDR with help of Rogen. There are some adjust in HDR that, in my opinion, depends on personal taste and your monitor. In line 176 the exposure_bias could be adjust if you see too bright white clouds at the day. In associate with the line 200 the factor plus the exposureBuffer could be rise up if you think your cockpit is little dark. Some pictures of the new clouds are here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QfP7jYELbGTudH1T6 File: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w2eYeEtwFjMR1bWXSt6_BOGZw08Ak2zM/view?usp=drive_link
  2. Hi thanks for your report and glad you see notable diference with the adjustments. There was no alterations in the parameter that (I think) is involved in diffuse light and the always dark cockpits. I adjust to obtain more 60% diffuse light and, stills the same, since first version.
  3. NOTAM about new update released yesterday: Small corrections in dusk colours. New HDR adjusts (with Rogen help). No more pink horizon with EA and 2D cloud set. Link is the same above. 👆
  4. After some days of testing new colour, dealing with small shaders errors. I would update the file and share with community. New HDR option (thanks to Rogen) based on ACES tonemap or you can use new tonemap adapted from P3Dv6, just comment, uncomment the line 148 in HDR.hlsl to enable or disable that specific option. Clouds have been improved and continue working. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w2eYeEtwFjMR1bWXSt6_BOGZw08Ak2zM/view?usp=drive_link
  5. The first image look better, the clouds and colors. The second almost the same, but your plane was under the shadow of a cloud, or toga shaders makes it more bright? I am working on some errors pointed here before in shader compilation, I get rid of them and soon I call for a new version.
  6. @Rogen, great effort too, My goal is make the simulator a little better and involve the community in this effort. Sorry about the errors, actually I didn't check that in my system (content error is off), but if you can share the corrections that you made and make it better, all is good and thank you for that. I looking forward to view your corrections. Regarding the clouds, I noticed that you need to restart the simulator a couple of times, to get the shaders correctly compiled in shader cache, after that the clouds get more volume and became nice and natural. Your P3D 4.3 is very good too. Nice Regards
  7. Sherm, there is nothing to do with textures, so continue to use your texture programs normally . There are only two shaders files, is difficult to say if there are conflict with Toga shader, because I don't have it. You can see by yourself using notepad++ and compare plug-in inside that program. If you decide to not install shaders, it´s ok, you continue to have EA clouds improved with volumetriclouds.cfg installed.
  8. Don´t even try the shaders, but the volumetriclouds.cfg maybe. Is tested in v5.4 only, test at your own risc.
  9. Dan, Works with EA on with or without volumetric clouds.
  10. I was following one topic of Rayleigh in the past at LM forum, last few days I decided to work again in that "colours of sky" and besides that, I was tweaking the volumetriclouds.cfg also with information from truesky site. The results I dare to call P3D v5.9, because is almost that. The tweaking thing can be way more accurate, made by people who knows HLSL, but using my NI (natural inteligente) I made a good job. If you guys want to see that result (colors at sunset may not be accurate or pleasure most people) but I guarantee the clouds become amazing with new variables. I don't know if I can share things at google drive here, is my first post (I use FS since 1994 and use avsim for long time too, but forgot the old login). But YT links I guess is ok, the link of tweak is at video description. https://youtu.be/GruEU4sRrFE?si=sU4bhP1OX6jaL3zZ
