  1. What settings are people using with this oasis driver, I've got a G2, 4090 and i9 13900kf and just cant get it to run smoothly. Using the WMR portal and xr tools I could set 300% resolution overide with DLSS4 performance, MR on and it was 99% smooth. Using the oasis driver its very jittery even at much lower resolutions, in fact raising the resolution doesn't seem to make it any worse, it just stutters a lot. Interestingly if I use the open XR toolkit just for the FPS display the FPS doesn't drop when it stuters, it stays at a solid 30 or 45 depending on how busy the scenery is. I've tried most different settings and guides now and just cant get it to play smooth, its certainly way worse than WMR was.
  2. So did I but I ended up with a suspected second hand and faulty item. This one. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D49YV587?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
  3. I posted earlier about how bad my crystal light was, it was almost certainly a second hand headset, one of the lens protectors was stuck elsewhere in the packaging and not on the lens as it should be, also the box had been Sellotaped back up several times. It was more than likely a returned item that someone else has similar problems with and they just took their chances and shipped it back out again. I got it through Amazon UK just because of their returns policy and when I ordered it showed 3 left in stock, which went down to two as you would expect, it currently shows 3 left in stock again so beware if you order one from there you will most probably get the one I sent back. A lot of the amazon reviews say similar about second hand items being shipped and it has a 38% one star review, even amazons own bumf says its a highly returned item. It may well be the best headset out there but you might go through half a dozen or more headsets before you fine one that works, it looks to me like a high risk item you stand a good chance of losing out on ultimately.
  4. I've just ordered a Crystal light, turned up yesterday and its already back in the box and being picked up today or tomorrow, worst headset I've ever tried, it was probably 2nd hand or a return anyway, one of the lens protectors was missing and the box had clearly been taped up a couple of times. Apart from the rubbish fit the actual view through it was terrible, I tried loads of different settings most of yesterday but it was almost like looking at something through a goldfish bowl, the menu looked convex instead of flat like it does in my G2, but also the picture was far from clear, the only way I can describe it was when youtubers show you a "through the lens" view filmed with a phone, everything seemed to have some sort of luminance around it and it was almost double vision. Thats was even with everything cranked up to the max which made the frame rate unacceptable. Going to try a quest 3 next I think. Just to ask a quick question as well, am I right when I say the quest 3s had the lower resolution screen whilst the quest 3 has the higher one and its nothing to do with the memory size. So in other words a quest 3 128GB will be better than a quest 3s 512GB, if indeed they do make those two models.
  5. Right, I've given up with the official forums, its just run by word not allowed totally devoid of any human emotion. Maybe this forum could help instead. I use VR on a Reverb G2, 4090, i9 13900KF, 32GB ram etc. Its ran fine for ages but all of a sudden the sim crashed to desktop (no errors or anything) as soon as VR was launched. It would load fine in "D but as soon as I entered VR it was a straight crash. I'm using the latest DLSS file as well if it makes any difference. I narrowed this down to the render scale in open XR tools (the purple one), I don't use the toolkit. Any sort of high setting over 150% crashes, although in the past I've been way above 200 before although it was a bit jittery. Eventually after a couple of days it loaded in fine and I was able to get the render scale at 200% again on DLSS quality which is where I was before. However I've just been messing about with it again and put it up to 210% where it crashed again. Now I can't get it up above 160% without it crashing. How can it be it was happy at 200% 10 minutes ago but now it won't go anywhere near that. Just to add one time when it was crashing it did actually manage to launch but was doing this.
