  1. In the past 12-18 months the official forum seemed to change in the way it is managed and moderated and in my experience certainly not for the better. I remember shortly after the initial release of 2020, the Community Managers were engaging, understanding and you could have an actual adult conversation with them to get issues raised and problems solved. Then something changed, the whole dynamic of the forum changed and it's as if there was this level of bias introduced, where if your postings didn't conform with the overall positive narrative, posts started getting flagged for no apparent reason, threads shut down and stopped in their tracks etc. It became increasingly more difficult to report and discuss bugs, because a bug report would be made, you would discuss findings and observations of the bug with other users to help identify trends and reproduce, to then be told to not discuss this bug in the bug report thread but discuss the bug in a different discussion thread and it just became increasingly more difficult to actually raise and discuss issues in any meaningful way. The moderators seem to carry with them this teacher/child mentality you see in schools and the forums very much feel like a play ground most of the time. The biggest gripe for me though, has always been the lack of consistency in the way they are moderated. I've called moderator staff out and formally reported moderator staff over this sort of targeting, to the point one actually stepped down, but then returned shortly after a bunch of the senior community managers who were actually decent left. Since then it's just not worth posting on there for anything meaningful.
  2. Yeah done a lot of testing and seems to primarily, possibly only, impact the UK and Ireland airports.
  3. Yep, standard answer by them, then continue to do nothing about it. Repeat and necessary.
  4. I and others have provided them with many many examples of this bug, with a 100% repro rate - anyone wanting to reproduce it on the MSFS team should be able to do so with ease. I’ve raised it via Zendesk also were I was told it had been passed to a QA team who were investigating - this was at the beginning of the week and the ticket has been marked as solved, even though it clearly is not solved. Unless a lot more people bug report it, I’m afraid it looks like this will just go on and on with no fix.
  5. No, but neither does clear sky as far as the eye can see just because a METAR reports NCD or CAVOK, when there are higher overcast layers. Anyway, this topic isn't MSFS v Active Sky, there's plenty of those already.
  6. Seems that way yes, although it's been doing this for around a week now (but seems to have gotten worse in the past few days) so, not holding out for any resolution any time soon...
  7. Active sky not for me sadly, I do own it, but I don’t like the idea of injecting a global weather ‘theme’ or ‘snapshot’ based off of a METAR. Here in Europe especially the METARs don’t pull in enough cloud layers for it to be realistic.
  8. You can also see now the world map cloud overlay has updated and is wrong. Actual cloud cover: World map this morning which matched actual satellite fairly closely: World map now, wrong or outdated or something. Even when world map cloud cover is correct though, the actual injection of the weather when loaded in is bugged.
  9. Hi all, Not sure if anyone else on here has noticed but the Live Weather in MSFS is broken/bugged at the moment. I created an official bug report post on their forums and they've marked it as 'investigating' and there's plenty of examples in that post, but if anyone else would like to vote it up or contribute to it then I'll leave the link here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/live-weather-data-injection-bug-september-2024-not-general-accuracy/653805 Example of EGKK from this morning, which should be rainy with lots of cloud: Then some time later, load back in and the cloud is there: But then load in again some minutes later and it's all gone again. And this is what is happening constantly, cloud is there, then it's gone, then it's back, then it's gone. Looks like some sort of server/injection/data error.
