So, in the ATC tab, I set "Vector Dst" to 6 for airliners and "Ext Final Dst" to 5. Have I interpreted that correctly?

I've set my aircraft profile to "Airliner" and selected Lufthansa. However, the setting keeps reverting to "GA," so after landing I'm not assigned a gate but a parking space... Am I doing something wrong?

I always have problems with vectoring approaches. It always takes me quite far from the runway, and at some point I think I'm going to lose and then I do the approach without ATC. Is there perhaps a setting I need to change?
