March 2Mar 2 I always have problems with vectoring approaches. It always takes me quite far from the runway, and at some point I think I'm going to lose and then I do the approach without ATC. Is there perhaps a setting I need to change? Below are pictures of the aircraft profile; I don't know to what extent you can influence it. thank you https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/dmiuecnkwl4goke81fzuo/Foto-02.03.26-08-08-02-3.jpg?rlkey=k4nfv0oc49gls15w6ehj3j5xg&st=0x780kjx&dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/gdhrdwws2yruur06uf4gx/Foto-02.03.26-08-08-02-1.jpg?rlkey=l1mtj9ivsv7loiuvwmz0vgf53&st=oaal4l7s&dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/shpjb4b5tic3v1nzzd7ly/Foto-02.03.26-08-08-02-2.jpg?rlkey=gje6pvtmwaa1cckebu5fffihp&st=u289a5nm&dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/muroelplhin6yaszdbrtn/Foto-02.03.26-08-08-02.jpg?rlkey=ndbridgno7lgg9j408201fqhh&st=s7qu5rw5&dl=0
March 2Mar 2 Commercial Member The Vector leg distances on the ATC tab should be reduced. I would set Extended Final to 0.5 or 1.0. And for airliners, 5.0 is adequate, but you can go a little higher to give a slightly longer pattern. Try 6.0 for the Vector Leg Length. The Extended Final set at 7.0 is what's causing the majority of the problem. Dave
March 5Mar 5 Author So, in the ATC tab, I set "Vector Dst" to 6 for airliners and "Ext Final Dst" to 5. Have I interpreted that correctly?
March 5Mar 5 Commercial Member 5 is probably too long for Ext Final. I would reduce it to 1. That will shorten the overall pattern by 4 NM and not affect the ease of the vectoring. Dave
