  1. Thanks Mike, it sounds like that's waaay above my abilities atm.... maybe when I've created a dozen or more missions I'll be more up to the task, but for now I guess I'm better off keeping my missions pretty simple. If the admins want to close off this topic, that's cool, I guess my question has been answered, and thanks again to Charlie & Mike. Ted.
  2. Thank you Charlie Aron for that link... I'm very new to AVSIM and hadn't found that section yet. I crawled through it but couldn't find anything relating to my issue (I did find some other interesting stuff though). All I want to do is visually unload a crate like they do in Resort Supply.
  3. Hi all, I'm new to this flightsim thing as I only just got a copy of FSX (Gold edition). After flying a few missions and doing a bunch of lessons I was excited to find out I could create my own missions with the SDK Mission Creation Kit. I know very little about programming and coding, but if I stick at something long enough I can usually figure stuff out. I'm proud to say I completed the Mission Creation Tutorial (after 3 attempts getting it wrong) and now I've created a couple of missions for myself. I admit there's been a lot of trial and error involved. One of the missions requires dropping off a crate at a location (like dropping off the apple crates in the Resort Supply mission- that's where I got my idea) but for the life of me I have no idea of how to achieve that. Everything else in my mission has been completed (I left the hard bit for last) and it all runs smoothly. Everything I've read suggests looking at other missions to see what other people have done. I learned how to convert .spb to .xml (I did this with the Resort Supply mission) so I could load it into the OPT, but trying to track someone's pathways just made my head spin. I tried looking at the .xml in Notepad but it still didn't make any sense. So here's my question - could someone please give me a concise step-by-step quick guide of what I have to do so that when I pull up at the POI a crate will be unloaded from my plane. I've almost got the hang of Triggers and Actions and Conditions and the like, so you don't have to explain things like you were talking to a moron, yet don't get so technical it makes my nose bleed again. Middle of the road kinda stuff. I'd greatly appreciate all the help I can get. I'm also happy to upload the .xml for the mission I'm talking about if it helps at all. For the record, I'm running FSX on a 15yo computer with Win 10 Pro and three 32inch monitions for that wraparound view when flying... it's awesome!! Thanks in advance for any and all help I might (or might not) get. Ted.
  4. Hi, does anyone have contact details, or know how I can get a hold of Chris Klein (he created the Lunch on Catalina mission). The email address he included with that file is no longer valid. Thanks in advance.
