  1. Hello everyone, We are excited to announce that the Ikarus C42B microlight aircraft is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The Ikarus C42 is one of the most widely used microlight training aircraft in Europe, especially in the UK and Germany. Thousands of pilots have learned to fly in this aircraft, and our goal was to bring this unique flying experience into the simulator. This project was developed to fill the microlight category, which is still relatively underrepresented in MSFS. Aircraft Features ✈️ Accurate recreation of the Ikarus C42B ✈️ Designed specifically for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (PC) ✈️ Detailed cockpit with custom interior elements ✈️ Optimized flight model for microlight flying characteristics ✈️ Ideal for VFR flying, training, and short grass strips ✈️ VR compatible Flight Video If you’d like to see the aircraft in action, here is a short in-flight video demonstration: https://youtu.be/WSgHVStBnII Availability The aircraft is now available on SimMarket: https://bit.ly/4shdmZG Why the C42? Many MSFS pilots enjoy flying small GA aircraft and bush planes, but the microlight category has been missing from the simulator. The C42 offers a very different experience compared to larger GA aircraft: • lightweight handling • excellent visibility • low-speed scenic flying • perfect for exploring small airfields We hope you enjoy flying the Ikarus C42 in MSFS 2020 as much as we enjoyed building it. Feedback from the community is always welcome. Happy flying! ✈️
