  1. I'm having a problem with the DA62 not holding altitude. I can't fathom out why it will climb to FL140 and remain there for quite a while before descending a couple of hundred feet for no apparent reason. See attached screenshot showing commanded altitude is 14,000 but it's dropped to 13,800ft. Am I alone in having this problem in P3D v4.5? VNAV was engaged but the ToD point is a long way off.
  2. Taking the new plane for a spin...
  3. I am a little confused about how to get a flight plan created in P2A loaded into an airplane. I have a Vertx Diamond DA62 with a G1000, and I am unable to load a flight plan from P2A into it. It seems to me that sometimes just filing a flight plan loads it into an aircraft, but this doesn't work apparently with the DA62. So I have exported the flight plan from P2A into a PLN file, but when I load that with the P3D4 flight planner, all I get is a direct route from the departure to the destination airports. All of the waypoints, including the SID, STAR, approach and intermediate waypoints seem to be stripped from the plan. How can I get the complete plan loaded into both P2A and the DA62 so I can use PA2 ATC with th plane? Gil
  4. I've discovered a problem after changing the Registry to allow the Vertx DA62 Config App to interact with the aircraft in P3Dv5. With an entry for P3Dv4 existing Ai Lights Reborn will generate a .NET error when launched as it expects to find a fully installed version of P3Dv4. If you select 'Continue' the drop-down from which you can select which sim to interact with is empty. As AILR is an integral part of AIG Traffic Controller the same error is generated when that addon is enabled for P3Dv5. It's looking for v4 but after a few seconds the error message disappears and the addon runs without any issues. But if you want to change anything in AILR you need to remove that Registry entry for v4. Not very satisfactory but you can't blame the developer of AILR as he's following the SDK and if it thinks P3Dv4 is installed then it looks for certain files and complains when it can't find them. The solution? Well either be prepared to keep removing and reinstating that Registry entry when appropriate or stop using the DA62 in v5. Alternatively, uninstall AI Lights Reborn. Has anyone else come across this problem and did you arrive at the same conclusion? LATER: There is a quick 'n dirty workaround. Export the P3Dv4 Registry setting to a file and keep it on your Desktop. Then delete the P3Dv4 entry in the Registry. That keeps AILR and AIG TC happy. When you want to use the DA62 Utility double-click the REG file and it reinstates the Registry entry for P3Dv4.
  5. Think I finally got the image thing figured out. These should be all much more clear and crisp!
  6. And a flight from Stark's to Pearson Field in the Vertx DA62. Happy to have the Windows PC setup once again... and with internet... so expect some new P3D shots from me! 7. Here's a pic I took a while ago during the beta of this excellent addon.
  8. Hello everyone, I've been having this problem for little while now, and I can't figure out why : Whenever I have a flight plan loaded, or I've set up a "direct to" in the G1000, the magenta line appears and the G1000 indicates that the "leg" is active, but I cannot turn on the NAV feature of the autopilot so that the plane follows the active leg. For some reason, my autopilot will only accept "roll" and "hdg" as laternal navigation, but not nav. I may be doing something wrong, but I've followed all the checklists and gone through the manual and I can't seem to find what the origin of the problem would be. Thanks so much for your help, epik
