Hi all

I just re installed FS9 on a separate drive and I am being told that I need administration priviledges when I am already signed on as (My Name) administrator??. Can anyone tell me what to do please?

Do a google search on Windows update KB3086255. It causes your issue and the fix can be found across FS forums, you will just have to search as we cannot give you a solution here.

We need a sticky explaining the issue and some direction so users are aware FS can still be run. People may check stickies on a forum but not all of them will post and ask. They will just abandon thinking FS just doesn't work on modern systems.

The Microsoft knowledge base article for the security update also has a workaround that doesn't involve uninstalling the update and trying to hide it (only to have it show up again next month).
