Visibility Improvements in P3D - fog depiction - AS16 Hotfix 2

Recommended Posts

Hi, to any soul using AS16 Hotfix 2: Not sure how the following new feature works, stated in the changelog for Hotfix 2: "Visibility improvements in P3D: fixes some rendering issues and options syncs when volumetric fog disabled, adds disable haze layer functionality for P3D (with associated user option)" that is included in the Hotfix 2 of AS16 for P3D.

Each time I disable haze functionality for P3D inside AS16 (with volumetric fog disabled in P3D), the check mark does not keep ON/CHECKED after re-start of AS16 and re-start of P3D, so very confusing how this operates and not clear at all for what purpose this functionality has been added. The manual for AS16 has not been updated either to reflect this added feature in Hotfix 2 (still have the same manual revision dated July 5th, 2016, in the documentation folder).

Could anyone please give an explanation on how this new feature has to be used and for which purpose it has been added, and to solve or improve exactly what?.

Thanks, Ed

Cheers, Ed

yes, I can't get my head around the explanation on page 77 of the users guide. Does this mean its for FSX only, so we uncheck it and use volumetric fog only.
