  1. As I doubt many people have time to sit through my lengthy videos, I just wanted to mention what I found was one of the most obvious differences BATC vs Vox in the last video (EHRD-EGLL). With BATC, I was cleared for ILS27L just below FL100. Whereas with Vox, I got vectored to final.
  2. I decided to do a side-by-side comparison of VoxATC and BeyondATC in order to compare differences, strengths and weaknesses. Doing this, I tried to be as impartial as possible. However, I've been beta-testing VoxATC quite intensively recently, and have quite a bit more experience with that addon. The video might be a bit confusing. I basically flew EHRD-EGLL with BeyondATC first, then with VoxATC. Then I edited the video to compare various stages of the flight - IFR clearance, startup, taxi, takeoff etc.
  3. Doing a comparison flight, EHRD to EGLL, no AI traffic. Weather might be different since they're both using live weather. I'll try to keep it as fair as possible.
  4. I don't have any vested interested in VoxATC other than being a beta tester. I think BATC holds a lot of promise, but for now I prefer VoxATC. I'm trying to stay as impartial as possible and avoid falling into the trap of cognitive dissonance. A flame war will not serve anyone, and might end up getting the thread closed, which would be unfortunate. However, I feel that a comparison could be useful. I don't think it would be unfair, as both products are under continuous development.
  5. I can hardly keep up with them myself 🙂 I think my expectations are not as high as yours - definitely not a deal-breaker. Realistic vectoring, control of AI aircraft, phraseology = a lot more important. But like I've mentioned - my opinion doesn't really matter much - I was more interested in hearing what other people think. So thanks for commenting - appreciated! A valid and fair point. We only started to use these voices less than a week ago, so it'll take some time to sort out everything in terms of getting everything automated. I agree with what you say, but again, for me, not a deal-breaker. I wouldn't know, sorry. How's BATC with regards to this? I haven't used it much since I started beta testing Vox. I've done a few flights with BATC today though, so I do have some thoughts. Maybe I'll do a comparison video - would that be useful? E.g. same departure, same runway, same time etc. BTW: If there's one video I would recommend, it's the shared cockpit session Gatwick to Manchester. In my very honest opinion, that was a higher level of realism that what I've experienced before in my 20+ years of flight simming. So much fun!
  6. Thanks! Some might have been CereProc. My bad, forgot about that! I'll do a quick video from an approach to Heathrow using 100% UK natural voices. AI pilot voices will be from anywhere though. Haha definitely! IMO some of the foreign accents are quite good e.g. some German, Italian and French ones. It's a bit of a hit and miss though. I have BATC and currently testing it in UK, Germany, France. Each have there strengths and weaknesses.
  7. I agree that some of the foreign accents seem a bit overdone. Have a look at my recent flights in Germany - only German natural voices there (Win11). I think I've also done some flights to/over Norway, Denmark, Sweden, France, Italy and Switzerland - only free voices. I have 4-5 British voices and there are probably 4-5 Win11 British voices, if not more. US has the most voices IIRC. I think the (paid) CereProc voices are definitely better, but not "I would do a paid subscription" better.
  8. Just made a quick video demonstrating the voices I've been using in the many videos in this thread. I would like your honest opinions - are they good enough? Would you pay for additional voices? It doesn't really matter what my opinion is. I'd like to know what YOU think. Feel free to compare with other ATC addons - but let's not start a flame-war 🙂
  9. Robo-voices? I guess that's in the ear of the beholder - I think they sound great. With Win11 natural voices we have access to hundreds of accents from all over the world. But again, everyone's got their own preferences which is 100% understandable. EDIT: I can relate to what you're saying re: robo-voices. To some extent, I agree. At least for some of the voices.
  10. Short video demonstrating how immersive VoxATC can be. Taxi, takeoff and departure from Düsseldorf, Germany's 3rd busiest airport. Next video will be a demonstration of a shared cockpit session (using VoxATC) from Gatwick to Manchester. Thanks, much appreciated!
  11. We've been working on getting shared cockpit working for the last few days. Great fun and an added level of immersion. How it works: Both captain and FO can interact with any switch and knob in the cockpit. Only one person can interact with throttle, stick/yoke and rudder pedals. I've included some preview clips on my latest flight from Hamburg to Düsseldorf. More videos will follow once things are a bit more polished. 12. Just necroing this thread to share a visual approach into runway 15 at Paro (VQPR) Bhutan
