Can't seem to retreve a saved RC file

Featured Replies

I received RC and loaded it and used it..but I can't get the save system to work correctly. So far I'm just trying it in FS9. Everything works as it should except, if I save the RC file (Ctrl-Shift-;, it saves it, but when I come back to load it the screen says no files match. If I explore my Flight Simulator file I can see the files are there, but RC apparently doesn't see them. The files even show up in My Saved Flights?. Maybe it's putting them in the wrong place...I'm just not sure. Maybe I'm not doing something right (more likely).

have you clicked the .flt/.wx button in rc, and defined the path to where fs is placing the .flt and .wx files?jd

Yes, I mean I assume the .rcd files go to the same place the .flt & .wx files go, which is Documents/Flight Simulator Files. It is saving them and they are there, but RC doesn't see them when I press the Load Previously Saved .RCD button.

I don't have to. I went over to FSX, and loaded a flight, brought up RC and managed to do everything, and it worked..saved the .rcd file and all. I went back to FS9, and this time it worked there too. What it was not doing before in FS9 was making the .rcd file...the other two were there. I didn't realize that until I saw it in FSX.I'm not sure what I did or didn't do before, but it's saving now, so I guess I'll prepare a flight, and try it out. Thanks for your quick response.
