June 26, 200223 yr Hi Rob/Lefteris/PMDG,I'm receiving the listed FMC exception error when I attempt to load (I clicked on the Load LSK button on the RTE 1 page) an FSBuild generated flight plan. Up to this point I've never had a problem loading a FSBuild generated flight plan.I was using the Continental B757. My system is fully patched accoridng to the B757 install instructions.FMC Exception caught in DLLMouseClick - Control id 8Any ideas?Bob Lyddy
June 27, 200223 yr Bob,Is it repeatable? That is, when you back out to the desktop and come back in to Fly!II, do you get the same error? Have you tried rebuilding your flight plan within FSBuild? If so, do you still get the error? From time to time, I have gotten the same error, usually when I'm trying to modify my flight plan while enroute. It's annoying, to be sure, but I have seldom been able to get the same error to repeat under the same circumstances. (Loading an FSBuild flight plan is one of those...I replanned the flight in FSBuild and the problem disappeared.) If it happens in flight, change pages on the FMC and try entering some data from there. For example, if in the RTE page entering a waypoint, switch to the LEGS page and enter the waypoint there. That almost always seems to get you past the exception error with little or no loss of FMC functionality.
June 28, 200223 yr Author Hi Kurt,Not sure if it's repeatable. I've received other exceptions on different FMC pages, but never loading a flight plan. I've been able to load other FSBuild flight plans, maybe this one particular one had/has a glitch in it. Thanks for the reply. I'm getting a bit concerned with the lack of participation from the PMDG members. Wonder if they're growing tired / losing interest. I understand the LONG development cycle they've been in (with my job, I live it everyday, so I do understand), but in the past with prior releases someone from PMDG has always been active in the forums. This is not meant to bash/slam or be negative to PMDG, but to the contrary. The work PMDG develops is extraodinary as well as the entire team. I just hope they're off recharging their batteries for the upcoming General Av releases. I can't wait for the TB-9.Regards,Bob Lyddy
July 3, 200223 yr I think PMDG is recharging their batteries for the FS2002's Jetstream 4100 (per their website announcement). I predict this will be their flagship product since RR flies this craft. Good luck to them :-beerchugMichael J. Michael J.
July 3, 200223 yr Author Michael,You're probably right. I agree with the prediction (I'll buy whatever aircraft they develop), as the PMDG crew are an exceptional and talented group. I hope they still plan on finishing/releasing the Tobago TB-9.Regards,Bob L
