January 22, 200323 yr Pmdg was not very much help with this. My problem is entering a different origin after I entered a departure point. I would like to fly to one city then decide what city I would like to fly to after that without knowing where I am going next. Program as I go is this possible?
January 22, 200323 yr I'm sorry, but this makes no sence whatsoever to me. " I would like to fly to after that without knowing where I am going next". First, you NEVER fly without knowing WHERE and WHY you are going there. And this "My problem is entering a different origin after I entered a departure point"??? What are you trying to say here cause i'm lost. I think you need to do some FMC route training to KNOW all possible fmc enroute changes possible with the fmc for the particular aircraft you are flying. The real FMC {if 757} allows for enroute changes eroute and your destination runway is not inputed till you know from ATC what runway you will be using because of weather or other factors. You also have a route 2 page, which most of the time is used as a backup to route 1 in case it has errors etc. Now if you have charts, you can indeed input waypoint after waypoint into the cdu but you have to know where you are going first. Hope this helps, but your question was not very clear.Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing" Randy J Smith

January 22, 200323 yr Its easy to understand!Example KIND to KLASProgram FMC from KIND to KLAS directLand at KLASNow I want to fly to KATLI want to clear the FMC and start over again get new pax and get more fuel.Fly to KATLDo you get what I am saying
January 23, 200323 yr Well William, why not program it in ROUTE 2 then activate it while your at the ramp?? Make sure to get your correct irs pos. Also, I don't see what the differance would be between clearing the FMC and re-programing in the route? You can do either, it's up to you.Best Wishes,Randy J. January 23, 200323 yr Ok on route page 1 it wont, but what about route 2? Remember that the real bird will let you so it's something not modled correctly with your particular aircract. Route 2 should let you if your FMC has route 2 and if it does not, you are left with reloading your aircraft at that particular airfield. Sorry I could not be of more help for you.Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing" Randy J Smith
