April 28, 200323 yr Hi folks, after a really long search in the forum without success i have 2 questions that may have already been asked, but probably i'm not even able to find the exisiting answers(and therefore i better let my hands off your bird):1) Will a load editor be included in the first-release-package?2) Will there be the possibility to change the measure units from lbs to kilograms in the FMC and the Fuel Quantity display in the cockpit? Thanks for your great work!!!Jens Bachmann (EDDT)

April 28, 200323 yr Lefteris,I wish my computer at work would display the holds and seat map like that.I get something like thisH1 H2 H3 H4wt wt wt wtavail avail avail avail----- ----- ----- -----wt wt wt wtactua actua actua actuaA. number B. number(pax bay seating split)M F C I Bags Cargo MailTotals for Males/Females/Children/infants Cargo and MailSeat Plan Looks something like ABC DEF1-N- ---2--- --- 3NN- ---continuing down to the last seat row. A dash represents an occupied seat, an N an available seat. The software I use is CODECO and was developed by KLM in Amsterdam. I am also trained in BABS which used to be used by BA.If only an Airfile developer could get their hands on an AHM50, which is used to tell the computer where all the weight and balance stations are in relation to a reference point then we could really start to see some real to life load edit scenarios.PS, looking at the Pic, and employing the recommended loading technique for the 737 In real Life I woulda) spread the pax more evenly about the a/c.:( Place more cargo in the rear hold. Most operators of the 737 load the rear until full and then load the front. The only exception being if freight is carried as well as baggage, in which case freight is usually carried in the front.
April 28, 200323 yr Commercial Member Mark-I am fully aware of how things work in real life ;-).Once you get the release version, you'll see that the seats get filled progressively as a progress bar would do in most applications - I know it should be seating people based on even pax spreading, etc. but there's simply no time to do that and release the app within my specified timeframe. As Rob has stated repeatedly in the past, there's a developer timeframe for everything. As such, within the specified timeframe for the load manager, I elected to do something quick, yet functional, so that I can direct my attention to other, much more important aspects of the total effort.I fully expect to work on this even more after our initial release, so that our customers will be getting better and better products in the future. If I aimed for perfection for release day 1, you'd get an end product sometime after June 2013. ;-)Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
April 28, 200323 yr Lefteris,No Worries.I just wish that the software I used at work was more graphics led than what it is. It can be quite hard to conceptualize the layout of an aircraft when staring at a screen that just has text on it.Anyway enough of the work issues.I am looking forward to the release of your aircraft. As someone who exclusively flies the 767 PIC at present, it is a welcome change to see a developer putting time and effort into systems modelling rather than eye candy.Mark
