April 28, 200323 yr Hello, I was just wondering if you could please post a screenshot on the flaps. I noticed in one screenshot of the 600 version that the flaps seem to be a bit big and hang down when compared to real life photos. If so no problem, the rest is realistic, but just wanted to know if I could see a clearer picture of the system. [email protected]'t wait for the Southwest and ATA 800.
April 29, 200323 yr Knowing how PMDG are always striving for perfection :), I must agree with you on this one. The edge of TE flaps extend a bit much, I have highlighted the area that needs to be removed. I have compared as many pictures as I could before responding to this. There seems to be a little space between the segments that show through when fully extended on the real aircraft too. Gotta love this aircraft when we are talking about such little details huh?http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/6256.jpg[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. April 29, 200323 yr Yes this is the same exact problem I saw with it too. Could PMDG please be able to fix this. I love the flaps and slats on airliners, and if these are not correct, they ruin the whole project. Thank you very much. Here is a picture to compare.http://www.airliners.net/open.file/345547/L/http://www.airliners.net/open.file/344662/L/Adam [email protected] you need any advice!
April 29, 200323 yr Commercial Member Gents-Vin, our modeler, is currently on his honeymoon. We'll have him take a quick spin through the dimensions when he returns.NOTE: I've taken a quick run through the dimensions and they are spot on. Could be a number of factors causing the visual effect you note, including but not limited to flap selection commonly used in the real world vs. the selection in our renders, and/or an adjustment needed in the max angle of extension on the model. April 29, 200323 yr Thanks sounds great, You guys are great at customer support. Thank you very much and I think the flaps are great just the second part of the trailing edge flap seems a little too big or maybe the angle is off. Looks great otherwise. Love the Southwest and the Virgin Blue. Can you please update the progress or the end result if changes are made later on.Adam [email protected]
April 29, 200323 yr Dear Sirs,is that possible that there is might be no failure. Because you can land the 737 with Flaps 30 or 40 normally. This can be the effect. During Normal Operations you land the 737-600 usually with Flaps 30. This is mostly standard because this saves fuel and the Flare isnt`t too long especially with low GW.See youTill Kowalczyk
April 29, 200323 yr Commercial Member Till-Thanks. That's my point exactly. ;-)RSR Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
April 29, 200323 yr This could be, but by looking at the pictures on the second one, compare the FS plane, the 2nd part of the flap is the same size as the first one. In the real a/c you can clearly see it is much smaller. Dimensions may be correct but the visual in FS might distort this and give a false image. Don't know enough about it. Keep up the great work and hopefull it can be solved with a fix or a explaination.ADAM
