Ariane DF737Hi Luke here, i was wondering if the apu will drain fuel not like other addons which you switch it on and no affect of fuel being consumed, are you going to implent this in your Project??ThanksCheers Luke Bowerman

Luke-who are you talking to, when you say "Ariane DF737"?If this is directed to us, PMDG, for our upcoming 737NG, I am happy to say that APU now drains fuel realistically, from the left tank, while it's on.Cheers,

I'm sure he meant that the Ariane and the DreamFleet both do not have this option, and by your responce, it shows all of us how far you guys have taken this incredible package in regards to realism. Thank you for all the hard work man! I can imagine the amount of time all this takes and just wanted to tell you guys how much it means to all us here.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Oh, and while I am at it, do you guys want the gory details? ;-)If the APU is running, it consumes 250 Lbs per hour, draining from the left tank, unless of course you've turned on the APU Bleed, in which case, add 51 Lbs to that, as well as another 51 Lbs. if the APU Generator is on.:-)

>Oh, and while I am at it, do you guys want the gory details?>;-)>>If the APU is running, it consumes 250 Lbs per hour, draining>from the "left tank".Exept:1)With all boost pumps off this is true.2)If the center fuel pumps are turned on, fuel will feed from the center tank, and likewise with the right fuel boost pumps ,from the right tank. turning on a boost pump de-energizes the apu DC fuel pump(Suction pump left aft spar).3)with all boost pumps on apu will feed from the center tank due to the fact that it puts out double the pressure of the wing boost pumps.

>Wallace->>I give up... :-)>>(I'll try to put this in as well... ;-) )Sorry ,Lefteris :)

Hi Wallace et alIsn't it necessary to have the X-feed valve open to draw fuel from the right wing tank? Looks like there's no other connection to the APU than through the X-feed valve. And while we're at it ;-) in the Cockpit Companion Bill Bulfer states that on normal gen load the APU burns 225 pph, with one AC pack it burns 280 pph but, and this is weird, with 2 AC packs its down to 226 pph... Is this a typo or how could one explain this?As stated. It's those gory details...LOLCheers

Here's the numbers I see:1)apu: bleed off-191pph2)apu: bleed on-197pph3)apu: both packs on (25 psi)-209pph4)apu: both packs and (gen ON or OFF)-209pph5)apu: 1 pack on(42psi)-257pphGenerator seems to make no change in FF although 1 pack running bumps it up to 257pph I guess due to the fact its working harder putting out 42psi(1 Pack doing the work of 2)Crossfeed does not have to be open, there are interconnecting manifolds and pickups in the fuel sys.

Hey Guys, thanks for responding:) what i meant before is that i use df737 merged with ariane 737 so i could get an aircraft from the outside and the cockpit ofcourse :). But the thing is that they aren't well tuned together, regarding the VREF'S at T/O OR LANDING, and i love the 737 thats why i am eager for you guys to release that gr8 package :) Well thanks once againCheersLuke Bowerman

HmmmThat's quite a difference in FF figures. But it's in the same ball park anyhow. :-) And I guess there are small differenses between different batches and carrier options and so on.It makes sense that the FF increases when only one pack running due to the fact that it has to increase the pressure and thus the load on the APU.Thanks Wallace! And Lefteris. Now you have something more to think about regarding the APU! :D

two packs, as i know them, would still output the same amount as one pack, maybe a little bit more. Therefore (I could be wrong tho), it would be like carrying a heavy chest. If you do it by yourself, its really hard, but it lightens up if u do it with a friend. If im wrong please correct me
