Installer Error / Documentation

Featured Replies

We have determined that there is an installer error, which results in the link to the documentation in the Windows Programs menu being unusable.Until this is fixed, you can find the documentation here - FS2002/PMDG/737TNG/Doc_source/index.htm

For those of us who are not clairvoyant, what is the root domain of this URL you have referenced?GrantM

I'll jump in on that. He refering to the FS root folder(directory) on your hard drive (and the corresponding folders underneath).Joe Lorenc

Please ignore my request for assistance. I solved my own problem.GrantM

Well, why can't you tell the rest of the world how you did it.I'we got the same problem

I downloaded the three files first on my Mac at work, took them home and tried to install using the fourth file, installer file. When I looked more closely, the files names and extensions had been changed slightly... for the Mac they were too long and were shortened and renumbered. But the readme stated that the file extensions were W02,3,4, and that's not what I had, so judging by file size and date, I renamed them correctly, placed them in the same directory as the fourth file and all was installed smoothly. Hope this helps you.GrantM

The shortcut created by the installer can be also be fixed by: 1. Right click on the link to the documentation folder in the Windows Program menu. 2. Select Properties 3. Delete the erroneous paths in both the "Target" and "Start in" boxes. 4. Type in your correct path to the PMDG document file in both of these boxes. ie.c:Program Files/Microsoft Games/FS2002/PMDG/737TNG/Doc_source/index.htm 5.Click OKNow when you click on the link it will work...enjoy!Joe

Not quite at least for me.Target should be "C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002PMDG737TNGDoc_sourceindex.htm"Start in should be "C:program filesmicrosoft gamesfs2002pmdg737tngdoc_source"John
