Having problems purchasing this product

Featured Replies

I don't know what security settings to disable. I have the regular version of IE6 with medium security settings. I get an error message when proceeding to checkout as follows: "Your shopping cart is empty or you have proceeded to checkout please close your browser and return to Precision Manuals to make addtional purchases."I also get a purchase order page to fill out but have not done so due to the message above and reports that I have read on this forum.Come on PMDG. It really shouldn't be this hard to purchase your product. There must be a better way. I have purchased just about everything you have put out, including all of your planes for the Fly! series and have never had such a tough time with any of those purchases. What gives and why the high price for one plane? I am a loyal customer. Please give me a way to purchase your product. Thanks,Ken B. Jackson

Hi Ken,Others have had sucess by using low security settngs and ensuring cookies are enabled. Also if you have a firewall, this could be causing an issue. George

>Hi Ken,>>Others have had sucess by using low security settngs and>ensuring cookies are enabled. Also if you have a firewall,>this could be causing an issue. >>>GeorgeThanks George. I purchase products almost daily throughout the Internet and usually don't have a problem. My PC sits behind a Linsys router. Other than that I have a standard IE6 browser with the security settings set to "Low".Any other ideas on how I can send $40 bucks to PMDG? I am trying my damnedest to give them my money but it seems impossible. I'll give up soon. Thanks again,Ken B. Jackson - KSAT

Reading other posts I found that others ignored the message that PMDG strictly told us not to ignore and got it to work. That worked for me also. I now have a confirmation email and a link to the download. However, the link does not work either due to the server being swamped or my impatience. I'll keep trying. Thanks George for your kind help.Regards,

Glad you were successful. Hang in there, you will be able to download it soon. If you continue to have problems, Robert is monitoring the e-mail at [email protected]. Also make sure you have read Robert's e-mail concerning downloading above.George

Hi Ken,you won't be able to download the needed file. The given link will redirect you to "hxxp://xxx.precisionmanuals.com/shop/shoppingcart/Invalid.htm", right? It makes sense that you contact the support team via eMail.Momentarily I'm not able to buy this product. In fact I get the "empty shopping card" everytime...BTW: I like the Simmarket or Flight1 eCommerce system much more .... ;)

Gentlemen-(please read the download instructions above as well)the "empty shopping cart" is a message you'll see if you have popup killers installed. Please remove all firewall protection as well as popup killers (Norton Internet Security has one as well!), and you should be able to continue.

I'm getting a little bit angry now. 1st:I'm in contact with Rob and waiting...2nd:I'm NOT a beginner in eCommerce stuff as in using a computer in general.3rd:NO FIREWALL , NO COOKIE MANAGEMENT , NO CACHING, NO POPUP KILLERS.4th:Using with the latest IE, Mozilla and Opera ...5th:If I will continue via "Proceed Checkout" I can fill out data, but in consequence I'll receive a billing info with blank product information s -> NO Download. Final result: The transaction had been avoided by Rob. That's my story so far...Your turn, Lefteris ...

Gents,Use this knowledge at your own risk !Based on another user's experience, I ignored the message and filled in the fields in the pop-up menu. I had my aircraft 5 minutes later.I think the "or" is the important part of that message.Good Luck,Roger

Firewall disabledCookies allowedAntivirus disabledPop up allowedI get the ''empty cart'' dealWent ahead with this yesterday.Advised PMDG and they cancelled the credit card payment as Ecommerce takes the money but does not registerthe agreement for a download. Please give us another avenue. This is the only time I have ever had this much trouble with a transaction

Just ignore the silly message that we were told not to ignore and fill in your payment information. Once you complete that you will be given instructions for the download. It worked for me.Enjoy!
