Got the plane, Now....

Featured Replies

I finally got the plane loaded up and took it for a fly. Now I need a little help with trying to get flightsim to run without the stuttering. Im only gettting it with the new 737. Any suggestions? My system specs are as follows:Dell Pentium 4 2.8ghz1 gig rdram128 meg Radeon pro 970080 gig hard driveWindowsXP Home EditionAny help with settings would be appriciated!!!ThanksMatt

Matt, nice system you have there - I got exactly the same except for half the RAM. Gotta love Dell! ;-)Anyway - I know that with these system specs you should not experience any stuttering (doesn't happen for me), but could you please let me know in what configuration you flew (e.g. VC with Cabin, whithout cabin, etc.)?The stuttering is most likely FS related and not necessarly the 737TNG (especially if you take into account your system specs). We are currently compiling an FAQ that addresses this issue, if I remember correctly there is a workaround.

Yea...Dell is the way to go!!! I had this set up with VC with cabin, and also the 2d cockpit as well. I basically have everything to the max on the sliders. My video card is set on 1280X1024, screen res 32bit, direct 3d, have anti-aliasing set at 4X and Anisotropic Filtering at 16X. Other programs on flight sim are Ultimate Traffic, set at 100%, and I'm using Eddie Denney's Real Scene us terrain Mesh scenery. I also use FSSE from lago. What I'm seeing is a Pause go, pause go effect when moving. I've also had flight sim crash and go back to windows desktop at startup. By the way, what drivers on your video card are you using (mine are the Catelest 3.2 drivers) and what is you flight sim setup at (ie slider, etc) Maybe I can try your settings to see what I get. Anyway, hope the info is helpful, and I hope we can find a work around for the problem....nice plane you guys created!!!Matt

Matt-just a hint- if you use the VC and switch back to the 2d views, try to select some other non-FS window to see if that restores your Frame Rates back to normal.

No luck with it. Still getting some stutters!Matt

I have almost the same system as mentioned above (lower processor at 2.6gig/Dell 8300). I think the reason why your stutters are greater than the rest of us is because you have Ultimate Traffic set to 100%. Flight One doesn't recommend a setting of 100% because you will have framerate problems especially when using intense add-ons like this 737, set it to 80%.PMDG it seems your telling people to use the 2D panel to solve the framerate problem but from what I'm experiencing, the 2D panel is the problem. I get stutters in the 2D panel when in a turn just like others have mentioned. If I stay in the VC cockpit as much as possible my flight is fairly smooth (except for panning around, I seem to get this jerking effect going on. Have you guys tested this thing with Active Camera 2002 v1.1??). The cabin is a framerate hog as well (it would be nice if you guys allowed the door to open in the cabin and finished modeling the engines. You can see the engines are not completed from the cabin windows). You guys should look at what gauge is causing the problem in the 2D panel, the VC cockpit is fine (or almost, or at least better on frames than the 2D).

Hi Marc,LOVE THE JET! Finally, no

Still have some stuttering(jerking effect) in all views and now all aircraft. Before I downloaded the the plane,I was getting a smooth ride, now its jurky. I've knocked down the Ultimate Traffic to 75%, and knocked back a few of the fs2002 sliders in the menu, but still am getting that stuttering/jurking effect. I hope a solution comes soon! I've even updated my video card drivers to the latest, no luck yet!Matt
