July 3, 200322 yr In map mode, I'm seeing some really strange arcs for turns. I was set up KBOS-LUCOS-SEY-PARCH-CCC-ROBER-KJFK and took off 22L. I was in heading select on 140*. First, heading select overshot the turn from 215 to 140 all the way to 120! Then it came back to 140. I selected LUCOS on the legs page, set an INTC of 200, and armed LNAV. LNAV immediately took over and it showed the proper 140, and then turn toward LUCOS on the map. When the turn started, the strangeness in the attached pics took over. Even worse than that, IT TRIED TO FLY THAT BIZARRE ROUTE WITH LNAV!The third picture shows what the arcs are doing at the hold at LUCOS. It is a hold with inbound 182 left turns. Check out the arc coming out of the hold going to SEY. What in the world is it doing? Please don't take this as an insult, but I am having a hard time thinking that this product was not released prematurely. $40 is the most expensive add-on aircraft I have yet purchased, so I have high expectations.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
July 3, 200322 yr Wow, check out this one!http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/20821.gifThe FMC/MAP are really, really confused by direct to with INTC.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
July 3, 200322 yr Is this a custom procedure you built(a SID/STAR?)That is really odd....Sorry I can't be of more help :(
July 3, 200322 yr Why was this product released befor the beta testing was finished? It seem to me that for $40 US, this is quite a shock to see all these glitches showing up.
July 3, 200322 yr LeeLOL you have such a mastery of understatement.:)I`ve heard talk in these parts of this bird being the next PIC,well maybe someday????But not today.;)
July 3, 200322 yr Nope, I was just simulating the LOGAN2 (vector) departure with heading select and direct-to. This isn't anything that 767PIC and DF737 can't handle.Lee Hetherington (KBED)http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
July 3, 200322 yr Hmmmmm. I am wondering if you made the file(any custom SID/STAR file) yourself? I don't think I have a KBOS procedure in my release version. So, if I had to wager, you created a custom SID/STAR precedure, and somewhere in there you got the syntax wrong ;-) I could be wrong.....;-)If you just plugged waypoints in(without loading a SID/STAR from the file), well hmmmmm :-hmmmSorry for the edit, wanted to be more clear on some things.
July 3, 200322 yr No SID/STAR. I just plugged in waypoints and did LSK1L twice to go direct to LUCOS and then entered an intercept course with INTC. I'd like to get basic functionality working before I delve into programming SID/STARs (which I like doing). Also, shouldn't the INTC default to the current course to the waypoint and not the original LNAV course to the waypoint? That's the way 767PIC and DF737 work, and I'd be surprised a 737NG is different.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
July 3, 200322 yr Whoooo, I dunno whats happening(as I haven't seen this before when I go flying...) Perhaps the programming gurus can shed some light on this.
July 3, 200322 yr Yeoch! That'd spill your drink for sure if actually tries to follow that line.Best,Bill
July 3, 200322 yr And just to be clear: I'm using the latest 767PIC AIRAC on www.navdata.at. So, that doesn't have anything to do with it.I guess people haven't been using INTC much during testing? That's pretty much where everything went crazy. I got myself out with some HDG SEL, and it flew the hold OK, although it did not slow itself down to the hold speed I entered for LSK1R.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

July 3, 200322 yr Lee,Can you email me your flight plan and a detailed explanation of when you direct to'd and with what intercept course ? This would help in solving the issue : [email protected] int defaults to the planned LNAV course, as in real thing, as per the manaual. The 767/737 FMCs might differ on some items, but I don't know if this one is one of them.TIA,anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
July 3, 200322 yr Commercial Member Whoa, Lee I actually had a very similar thing happen last night (though not as extreme as what happened here) when I used the INTC prompt flying KTUS-SUNSS-HOOPS-KPHX - the plane didn't fully intercept the LNAV course (should be 318) between TUS and SUNSS and so I did the exact same thing - put SUNSS in LSK1L, entered 318 into the INTC CRS prompt and EXEC'd it. About half way to SUNSS, the plane drew a wierd yin-yang type shape on the map and tried to fly it - I reselected SUNSS into LSK1L and it went away.Anthony - I'm gonna go see if I can replicate this again - I'll send you an email with the steps if it does it again. Seems to be related to the INTC function...Ryan Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
