July 6, 200322 yr Moderator PMDG,Apologies because this has been mentioned before but it's been buried in a big thread and may not have been noticed.I fly using Radar Contact and that program decides when you start your descent. The 767PIC has a Des Now button which will start a descent before ToD is reached. Subsequent waypoints will have their altitudes adjusted accordingly based on my current rate of descent. The PMDG FMC shows this button but it's greyed out. Why? If it's there then it's required. When I'm told by Radar Contact to start my descent I'm forced to perform this manually with a manual rate of descent. And just to rub salt into the wound the altitudes on waypoints fail to change so I have to chnage all of them manually which is not just a real pain but is probably not what happens in a real 737.Please tell me that you will be including Des Now in the forthcoming patch. It's omission is a serious defect.Thanks. Ray (Cheshire, England). July 6, 200322 yr If I remember correctly, PMDG has mentioned several times to model the FMC by almost 100% ("if it's there it will be there") or we shall be able to use Bill Bulfers FMC Guide almost completely (except the winds aloft stuff), so I wouldn't worry about this being added.Mike

July 6, 200322 yr Author Moderator Hi Anthony,Many thanks for this. I tend to think that what's in the delivered product is the finished article - bug fixes excepted. I'm not used to extra functionality being added afterwards so if you can do this it will begreatly appreciated by all of us I'm sure. :-)BTW, what's "pathc"?Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). July 6, 200322 yr Author Moderator Hi Bozhan,Probably not. Although not immediately required it would be nice to have this feature in a future release once the pressure on the team has relented a little. You can alter these speeds manually of course.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
