July 6, 200322 yr Captains-I have noticed questions about the 800/900 being asked over and over again- so I hope this brings some clarification-**737 The Next Generation 800/900 Add-on development has not yet begun****As such, pricing has not been determined, not even thought about****Our current focus is on the 600/700 base product and we will not start making new products until all major issues have been fixed**Once the patch has been released, and we feel that all outstanding issues have been adequately addressed, we will publish details on 800/900 add-on product development.I hope this answers your questions.Sincerely,
July 6, 200322 yr Just want to say great job gentlemen, keep up the great work.I for one love the 700, and can
July 6, 200322 yr What? Pricing? Wasn't aware the expansion was gonna cost us even more! I think $40 is pretty pricy if you ask me guys... But oh well. That's what it's all about these days. :-rollDaniel Pimentel
July 6, 200322 yr Yea .. I kinda figured when this was released at $40 US that would involve all future NG updates/released ... hence the higher price. But it seems not.

July 6, 200322 yr PMDG has been very clear in previous threads (and FAQ's I believe) about the release and pricing model for this FANTASTIC flight sim add-on. My understanding is that the price of the upgrades will be smaller than that of the base package and will greatly expand the overall systems and functionality of the aircraft. My compliments to PMDG for this outstanding piece of work.Take Care,Jeff
July 6, 200322 yr I still just want to know if they are gonna address the memory usage issue with the current release. Not one post anywhere FROM a PMDG member saying it was going to be fixed. Eric
July 7, 200322 yr Commercial Member In my opinion, $40 is quite a lot of money, BUT worth every cent for a realistic airline simulation!Unfortunately, I wouldn't count PMDG's 737 as a realistic simulation, at least not yet. Maybe if all the issues (which IMHO are quite numerous, but that's a different topic) are resolved and fixed then I can change my views.Still 767PIC is the benchmark to which all simulations have to be compared to. 767PIC's system integration seems the least problematic to this date. With the 737, the moment you leave the normal operations, (basically play with the systems) you will encounter something that is completely inaccurate. And this is, again IMHO, what makes a simulation realistic! Just like 767PIC or, even more sophisticated, PS1.3.Anyway, I'm looking forward to the patch and I hope all the issues we found will be fixed so that we can re-evaluate the software as it definetely has the potential to become the new benchmark!Regards,Mark Mark Foti Author of aviaworx - https://www.aviaworx.com
July 7, 200322 yr I think that half of the people are whining about price because they can't steal a copy from their friends. All large projects such as this one have required patching. It is already a very good package, after a little work under the hood, it will be a great package. If any of you think you can do better, put up or shut up.Satisfied Customer, mouse
