Is it possible to...?

Featured Replies

Hi!This one is for the hardware fanatic's ;)PMDG: Is it possible to change the hardware, ie: secondary HD, graphic card, the audio one, cd/dvd drives ram... prior to unregister the product, and then use the pc without launching FS or better yet , without using your 737 ;) until the original hardware been reset? or the simple fact of altering the hardware even without using your product is enough to invalidate the product? If it's possible then great because it would speed up the thigs around here!Jos

Jose-as I have repeatedly mentioned, the ONLY changes that affect your license key are the motherboard, the BIOS, the CPU and the OS Hard Disk. :-)

Thank's but i knew that ;)What I'm asking is if you control the hardware regarding only to the use of your software, or, if your protection mechanism ALLWAYS checks the hardware used regardless of your product being used or not:An exemple: I go to a friend's house to play or to work or whatever: Supose that he has two computers: I take My primary HD and use him in his computer as a primary also (not lauching FS tough), that way I dont mess with His files (nor he does mess with mines) and we share the socores of a game, or play in a LAN, or exchange files... , then, when were done he plugs his HD ( and gets his computer back to the original state) and I take mine and do the same thing.Doing this will or will not void the use of PMDG 737??regarding the computer nothing was changed, as as far as PMDG 737 It woudn't even noticed anything!! OR would he?I.E: provided that I don't use fs (or beter yet only your 737) outsidethe original hardware, Im free to use MY HD to whatever board, processor, BIOS outhere?? OR you monitor hardware all the time?Thank's Jos

Jose-I've been perfectly clear. As long as you don't RUN our application on a different motherboard, BIOS, CPU or hard disk, (change any other components you wish!), things don't get affected. In your case, since you're not going to be running FS while at your friends' place, there's no issue.Cheers,
