A compliment and an observation

Featured Replies

First and foremost and most importantly I would like to thank everyone at PMDG for this amazing product. Needless to say I haven't been using or flying anything else other than this plane since it's release. I work on the 737-800 on a regular basis being a flight attendant for American Airlines and I must say you've done a remarkable job simulating this aircraft. So with total respect I say that the hours and hours of work you all have put in to this project have paid off immensely. Now an observation about the "community"I normally log on to avsim once a day to check the forums and files. Lately that has included visiting the PMDG forum on a regular basis to check up on updates and new liveries and any interesting posts. Unfortunately what I find the most of is - COMPLAINING!Granted there have been some legitimate posts on here about bugs that PMDG has been made aware of and have informed us that they are working on a patch for us. What I continue to see is 400 new posts complaining about the same issues that PMDG is ALREADY aware of. Do we really need a brand new post complaining about bugs that are already being worked on? Could you at least be a little grateful before writing rude comments about the aircraft and its members? There are people here who have made constructive awarness of several issues that need to and are being addressed and they have done it in a respectful way (you know who you guys are). But there are those of you who must make it personal and rude as if PMDG owes you a real 737 from the Boeing plant, well you know what start coughin up several million if you're already complaining about 40 bucks. Will any FS plane ever be 100% accurate? NEVER! That is why this is a SIMULATED world and not a real one. If you want things completely perfectly like the slope of the nose of the plane then please become a pilot for an airline because you will give yourself a heart attack expecting that in FS.Does that mean that people on here are incapable of producing that? No! But we're humans and it's logical to expect that not everything will be perfect, but it can be close and lemme tell you the PMDG 737NG is damn close and I'm quite sure that once the patch is issued almost all of the issues will be resolved. Will the complaining continue? Most likely as it is always easier to do so then to compliment. But why don't you enjoy what you've purchased and what a group of talented people have devoted almost a year of their life to making for you. And if you want perfection...try buildiing it yourself =)Happy flying to all of you who are level headed and supportiveJasonP.S. Don't get nasty in the responses you'll be proving a point ;-)

Well said.

Maybe PMDG should give us a complete list of everything that they have has problems. Then we can at least see what they intend to fix and add anything they may have missed.

Yes I agree. A detailed one would help avoid repeating posts for the same problem, aswell as providing a progress report, that would keep us informed, and thus with more peace of mind...Jos
