I've been flying the PMDG 737NG for a week now and I have the following comments (I'll try not to mention the obvious stuff like APU bottle discharge, Left Fuel Tank imbalance, etc...)1. Why is the clock only visible on the approach panel?? Can it be moved to the main panel??2. BTW, the clock doesn't seem to display zeros when required for minutes, e.g. 18:05 is shown as 18:5 without the zero in front of the five.3. Had some weird behavior with the magenta line on the ND when executing a Direct-To maneuver. Typically after takeoff, I would fly runway heading then execute a direct-to on the FMC to join the flight plan. Although in all cases the aircraft turned properly and proceeded on course, sometimes the original flight path showed on the ND, sometimes the new "direct-to" course would appear in magenta.4. No audio for the marker beacons even though a visual indication appears on the PFD.5. Autobrake is only a "one-way" switch, i.e. can only be moved clockwise even though both a "+" and "-" indication is given when you move the mouse over the switch.6. No APU sound either inside our outside the aircraft.7. Engines flame-out when center tank empties (I think this has been addressed). Made for a really interesting in-flight engine start at 13,000' !!!8. Main panel is floodlit, overhead is backlit?? I had no problem with the main panel at night but could not make out the individual switches on the overhead panel due to the backlighting.9. Could not change the quantity of fuel loaded into the left tank. Have to always fly with t full left tank (and right tank to avoid imbalance).10. ILS and autoland are dead-on!! You guys really cleaned up the horrible FS2002 nose-dive at G/S capture. Kudos!!11. Computed V-speeds do seem low. Rotation in various configurations seems to occur ~10-15 knots above Vr.12. Visual model is absolutely beautiful. Reverse engine effects and airstairs are awesome!!Sorry if I repeated a bunch of stuff that has already been addressed... I really look forward to seeing this product develop!!Phil

Hi Phil,I'm not from PMDG, but can give you a few indications.4. To hear the marker beacons check in the default Cessna that on the radio panel the MKR button is on. I had this with the PIC767 too.5. Autobrakes can be slected to higher setting in flight only. Once you touchdown if you click on it they disengage. Don't know if it's correct as x real world, but if you want more braking power deselect them by clicking or giving some throttle and then brake manually.6. APU can't be heard from the cockpit, they said they didn't model external sound.7. It's a known issue, they're working on it, I had that too and indeed it was interesting, but only one engine flamed out! :-)9. Know issue.10. I agree 100%! :-)11. Double check with the provided charts and make sure you trim the plane properly for take/off. As PMDG says: 4 1/2 trim for the -600, 5 1/4 for the -700.With the patch I believe we' ll have a perfect plane.Regards,Bjorn

Hi Phil,I concur with your thoughts that this is an excellent aircraft in many respects and has some features not seen even in the famous - nay, infamous 767PIC. It will definitely become a must-have aircraft once the team have worked their magic with the patch. On the subject of the clock I also have a couple of observations...1. The time is GMT of course but it is slightly slow (just over a minute) compared to my PC clock. I don't understand how this is possible.2. The attached screenshot of the date mode on the clock also has me puzzled. Today is 16 July 2003 so why does it say 26 May 2003?http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/23638.jpgHoping the team can resolve these little niggles and can I also request that the clock be visible on either the main panel or the zoomed equivalent. A flap setting indicator on the zoomed panel would also be handy if space can be found.Cheers,

Ray (Cheshire, England).

Hello,>9. Could not change the quantity of fuel loaded into the left>tank. Have to always fly with t full left tank (and right>tank to avoid imbalance). That was addressed in another thread. For me it works to set the fuel before starting the aircraft - 1st thing to do. >11. Computed V-speeds do seem low. Rotation in various>configurations seems to occur ~10-15 knots above Vr.Same thing here (again already discussed on another thread). A solution could be to give more up trim, but I didn't find the time to try.>12. Visual model is absolutely beautiful. Reverse engine>effects and airstairs are awesome!!YES!> I really look forward to seeing this product>develop!!Me too - let's wait for the patch, I'm sure many things are resolved then. Thomas

Hi Ray,you have just discovered what PSS also was having as a problem with the clock date and FMS dates on their A320 and Dash 8.This happens if you start the the flight in the Eastern hemisphere, to make it easy in Europe, east of the Greenwich meridian.Try starting a flight in the U.S. and see if you get the correct date. I haven't tried it myself yet.I believe this is a problem with FS, not sure. Over at PSS they said they were going to look at it but never came back with any answers or solutions.Regards,Bjorn

Yes not a bad plane at all.Can somebody explain why there is no OPT/MAX altitude in the FMC...Thanks BOB

Never mind...

Hi Bob,I also noticed this right away, they didn't implemet it from what I understood, but it will be in the future.Regards,Bjorn

Hi Bjorn,I've discovered that the date showing on the clock is the date the flight was saved. I thought that was the end of it then but I loaded FS Real Time and zeroised the date/time. The correct time is showing but the date shows 1.6.2003 when I'm at London Gatwick (N51.10.3, W000.10.1).If I move to San Francisco then the correct date is shown. Moving to Frankfurt it reverts to the incorrect date of 1.6.2003. The PSS747 I bought a few years ago doesn't have a date feature so I can't check that. However, I think it is a PMDG bug as the correct date/time are shown under World.. Date/Time in the FS menu. It's not a hugely important issue but if it can be fixed so much the better.Cheers,

Hi Ray,it's as I thought then. Same as with the PSS Dash8 and A320.If PMDG finds a solution, it might work for the PSS products also, yes it's no big deal, but I'm a maniac for thiese little things! :-)Regards,Bjorn
