  1. Thank's for the answer - pushing any button on the controller is a helpful hint. Pushing a button is better that moving the lever at startup. Could it be a workaround to have an option to set the initial value in an input field and then use this as long as the generic value has not changed? Maybe to complicated for the problem ...
  2. HI, I have a problem with using my Logitech Flight Quadrant with aao: I've assigned an axis (the x-axis) to the AXIS_THROTTLE1_SET event, axis min -16384, axis max 16384, axis reversed, continuous update - I'm using this for more or less every aircraft I'm flying. Now when I'm starting a flight (or change the aao profile) aao seems to set a value of 16384 to AXIS_THROTTLE1_SET, even if the lever is on the min position. When starting on the runway the aircraft has full power instead of idle power. A small adjustment of the throttle lever and everything work's as expected. But depending on the aircraft, full power may result in a problem. I'm using the same configs for some time now, I'm quite sure that some time ago this did not happen (but I'm not sure). Any idea what could be the reason for this behaviour? Thomas
  3. Thanks anyway, I'll think of something - the PFD softkeys on the G3000 aren't that important anyway.
  4. Let's see if I manage to post a screenshot .. The first picture shows the PFD - the text above the 7th softkey is "PFD Settings". To trigger the button I use 1 (>IE:AS3000_PFD_1_SOFTKEY_7). Picture 1 The second picture shows the value of the L-Vars: Softkey 7 is empty, "PFD Settings" is in Softkey 2. I would like to have it in Softkey 7 :) Picture 2
  5. Hello, I'm playing around with aao and the new Piper M600 that has a g3000 setup. I'm trying to put the softkeys of the PFD on a Stream Deck. Now the PDF has an optional split view. As long as the PDF is in "Full" mode everything works as expected. With the PDF in "Split" mode, there are no softkey labels for the left part of the PDF anymore. Now the (L:G3000_PFD_SOFTKEY_1, String) contains the softkey label for the first visible softkey that now corresponds to the IE of AS3000_PFD_1_SOFTKEY_6. Is there a way to deal with this problem???
  6. Thank's for the reply ... With the help of the behaviour dialog: The "non working" CLR button has some logic that seems to simulate a long press that cannot be triggered with the IE. But I could identify the correct BVar, it's: AS1000_MFD_1_Clear_Push Thomas
  7. Hi, I'm trying to bind the buttons of the G1000 MFD of the COWS DA40 to a stream deck via aao and the stream deck plugin. All works fine but one thing: I'm using input events - these should be AS1000_MFD_1_SOMETHING. And they all work as expected except one button: The CLR button. The event should be "AS1000_MFD_1_CLEAR". When watching thesimulator events I can see this event ist triggered when pushing the button using the mouse in the virtual cockpit. But when I try to trigger the event via a simple AAO-Script: 1 (>IE:AS1000_MFD_1_CLEAR) nothing happens. All other buttons are working fine (AS1000_MFD_1_ENTER; AS1000_MFD_1_FLIGHTPLAN, ...) - it's only CLEAR that is not working. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks, Thomas
  8. Hi all,the X52 HOTAS from Saitek ist now out for some while but I haven't found too many opinions on it. In some of the few reviews I have found it is descriped as "unprecise". How is this HOTAS compared to - for example - the old X35USB? Is there any alternative to the X52 (besides the X45)? Thomas
  9. I have same problem here :( Everything with active camera is fine but the fly by view. Thomas
  10. Hello,I just found out that the Powercolor cards are striped down versions with a memory clock speed of 200MHz (sometimes advertised as 400MHz due to the DDR memory). The "normal" 9600 pro has 300MHz/600MHz, the non-pro 200/400 with a slightly lower core clock. So the Powercolors are somewhere between the non-pro and the pro-version - probably nearer to the non-pro. Aktually it is not that easy to find these numbers and I am not totally sure that these are true. But in the end I think this is correct. Thomas
  11. Thanks for the reply. I think I will go for the 256 OEM.I know there were reports about problems with the ATIs and FS9. Is it correct that the latest Catalyst drivers did solve these problems? Thomas
  12. Hello,I'm thinking about replacing my GF3Ti200 with a new video card (for use with FS9). What I am looking at in the moment are the Radeon 9600 pro cards - they are getting cheaper and cheaper and seem to offer a good performance (I know the 9700 pro is the better one - but they are just too expensive). What I am confused about are the different types of 9600pro cards. Available at our local dealers are:- a Sapphire 9600pro 128MB for 163 Euro- a Powercolor 9600pro 128 MB for 138 Euro- a Powercolor 9600pro 256 MB for 154 EuroNow ... - does the Sapphire offer anything worth the extra money (besides Tomb Raider 3 which I don't care about)? Is there any use for the 256MB version vs. the 128MB Powercolor? Thanks for any comments, Thomas
  13. >First of all I think that you need to have the AC 2004 in>order to have the Approach camera functionality.AC 2002, the latest version for FS 2002 already contained the approach view. The way to get it to work is the same as with AC2004.My problem with ActiveCamera always was that I could not pan with the mouse - zoom is working OK, but not panning. But as it is possible to use the keyboard to do so this ain't such a problem. Thomas

I do get them without any changes to aircraft.cfg. Just fly high enough and in the right weather conditions. Yesterday I took of from PANC (Anchorage) heading to KSEA and around FL300 I had very nice contrails :) Thomas
  15. Same here on Windows 2000. With SR 1.0 + mini 1.1 I had no luck starting the left engine. Again the 1.1. SR did solve the problem. Thomas
  16. thanks to anyone giving an answer. I'll take a look at the demo. Thomas
  17. Hi,how do the two Garmin GPS in FS9 compare to Reality XP's GNS530? Thomas
  18. Hello,do I remember it correctly that there will be a manual for the FMC from PMDG? Thomas List
  19. Hello, while flying around with the new 737NG-700 Alaska livery, I lost my sense of time and it started to get dark outside. Now at night the VC had a strange green look while some gauges remained at the normal grey (maybe I should just post a screenshot instead of describing ...). Especially when switching between 2D panel and VC the different colors at night are very obvious while during the day this is just fine. Is this the correct behaviour or did I mess up my installation? This is still FS2002 btw.Btw. - now that switching between 2D panel and VC is no problem anymore I really get used to the great functionality of ActiveCamera. FS9 is going to be a really costly thing :( Thomas List

Hi,this is a known problem (and I hope it will be fixed in the patch). If you select a virtual cockpit version to start a flight and your default flight is in a spot view the sim crahes. To resolve this create a default flight that has the 2d cockpit initially or select any other aircraft, start the flight, switch to 2D cockpit and change the a/c to one of the VC 737s. Thomas
  21. I have the impression that the yaw damper depends on some other system (bleed or hydraulics?). When following the normal procedures to startup the engine the yaw damper is switched on early and according to the procedures the lamp should extinguish. But is stays on until the right system is started later on. I would guess without knowing that the procedure isn't correct and the system is modeled corretly. Thomas

Hello,>9. Could not change the quantity of fuel loaded into the left>tank. Have to always fly with t full left tank (and right>tank to avoid imbalance). That was addressed in another thread. For me it works to set the fuel before starting the aircraft - 1st thing to do. >11. Computed V-speeds do seem low. Rotation in various>configurations seems to occur ~10-15 knots above Vr.Same thing here (again already discussed on another thread). A solution could be to give more up trim, but I didn't find the time to try.>12. Visual model is absolutely beautiful. Reverse engine>effects and airstairs are awesome!!YES!> I really look forward to seeing this product>develop!!Me too - let's wait for the patch, I'm sure many things are resolved then. Thomas

If the 5.25 value is just a dummy value this explains why the aircraft does not want to go up ... I'll try a little bit more. Thomas
